Comments about JBL HTi88 Dual 8" 250 Watts, Passive In-Wall Speaker:
This is a wonderful dual 8" in wall woofer that has been around for years. I have worked in the custom home theater industry for over 10 years now, and this in wall woofer is one of the best I've used. It is also WAY cheaper than similar models from other companies that sound like, let's say Files, Fonance, and Folk, even as a dealer! On top of that, it sounds far superior to those when paired with a nice amp. It will reproduce accurate bass in medium sized rooms, and for larger rooms, just get the HTI88BB backbox and it will really move some air!
Very easy to retrofit too, the dog ears are very well made, just cut out the hole, just make sure you use 4 conductor wire, as each driver takes a pair.
If you need an in wall woofer, you can't go wrong with this thing, don't be worried about the 8" driver size, this thing really moves some air, and reproduces very accurate low end as well, not muddy or distorted at all. This is by far the cheapest place online to get them too!

These dual 8" helped my smaller in wall speakers with a clean punchy mid-bass sound. Highly recommended.

Comments about JBL HTi88 Dual 8" 250 Watts, Passive In-Wall Speaker:
Great sound for the price.
I don't need to trip over a big sub box now. Great for small rooms. Glad someone offers an in wall solution.
Comments about JBL HTi88 Dual 8" 250 Watts, Passive In-Wall Speaker:
JBL tells to connect front channels to HTI88 input 1 & 2. Output 1 & 2 goes to the Front Speakers. When I connect this way, it caused power overload to Denon 4306 receiver causing it to shut off. If I connect my front speakers directly to Denon receiver, things work fine so it must be the HTI88 overloading the circuitI would not recommend this product to my worse enemies. Wish I had bought Niles Audio speakers.
Problems Encountered: The moment you pass front channels through it(as they say it would work in their manual), it overloads the AV receiver.
Previous Equivalent Items Owned: none. Never had need for in-wall stuff before.
