The color is very nice and when used in a soft box provides a very pleasing quality that is not too harsh.

Comments about Westcott 5 Pack 27W Fluorescent Lamps for TD5 (120V):
Its very very fragile quality. I bought it with TD5 Large kit. The kit is very large and it needs you to hold the bulb from its tip to put it in place. The bulb is not very strong for that and its difficult to install.

Comments about Westcott 5 Pack 27W Fluorescent Lamps for TD5 (120V):
Using these in two Spiderlite TD5 fixtures - with a custom white balance, the color is top-notch.Unfortunately, you need a very controlled space to work in as five of these in a TD5 will require you to shoot around ISO 200-400 at f2.8 in order to achieve a 1/125. It also requires that you locate the primary light very close to the subject. Moreover, I am incredibly upset with the apparently poor quality control of the manufacturer. I have received a total of 3 5-packs in the last two months as I built up my new lighting system and in every single pack, at least 1 bulb has been dead-on-arrival. Worse yet, the aggregate DOA rate has come to a total of 5 dead out of 15 ordered.B&H customer service is working with me to remedy this situation, however this apparent QC issue has me questioning the ultimate longevity and reliability of this system. Over-all, between the ultimate dimness of the lamps and the incredibly high DOA rate, I am beginning to regret my investment into this lighting system.

Comments about Westcott 5 Pack 27W Fluorescent Lamps for TD5 (120V):
These aren't bright enough, looking for higher wattage ones to try instead. Beautiful color temp however. If you're stuck with a TD3/5, it's the best color you'll get.
