Although the Fedex man was panting by the time he got to my door with a box of three 15 pound saddle sandbags inside I was pleased as punch with them! They are easy to carry and position (one at a time).
I am using them to stabilize sets with backdrops so they won't tip and bury our little dancers . So far we are still dancing! But, seriously, they are great looking, easy to carry and durable!

There sand bags I dont know how they could be bad... i cant say iv ever had a bad experience with sand bags though.

This item is perfect for weighting down my reflector with boom arm attachment. Without the weight, I would need an assistant to hold it in place.
Very well built with durable seams.

We use these for propping open very heavy doors. Carry handles are great.

It weighs 15 pounds just as advertised. It has straps exactly where you'd expect them to be, should last for years. Well built.

You need lots of these if you got light stands with heavy booms or strobes. It's good to know that the stands won't tip over clients or get blown away in the wind. Puts your mind at ease and focus on your work. I would def buy more!

This was great because I was able to pick up a few extra sandbags on a way to a shoot quickly and for a great price. The perk is that it held down my lights.

These sandbags are useful and sturdy enough to be thrown around a bit.

We've used these every which way... tripods, boom weight, and to counterbalancing various objects in the studio.

I needed something to counter-weight the Impact green screen tripod I purchase a few months ago. The 15 lb weight perfectly offset the weight of the pop-up screen. Works both in and outdoors. It's small and easy for any travel purposes. I definite buy if you're in the same situation.

Well, they do what they say they do... add weight to anything you need to hold down. I needed them to keep my 60" umbrella from taking flight. I like the handles which make them much easier to haul around.

Bought 5 of these for light stands. They do the job. The material seems pretty heavy duty, and not likely to rip or tear. There are "straps"on both sides, which makes them easy to use. Used them on only a few location shoots so far, and they've held up well. They show dirt a little bit, but that's just mostly a function of the material and the black color.

Has handles on both sides for easy pickup. Comes sealed and pre-filled with sand so you don't have to worry about it leaking out. Some of the bags are a canvas material while others were more of a vinyl material. Don't see any reliability issues, just an observation.

I purchased this to keep a miniboom from toppling over and injuring photographic models. It works well; would take an earthquake to move it.
Not the most sophisticated piece of equipment, but it does make the studio safe and me more relaxed.
