The Numark CD MIX-3 is an integrated 2-channel DJ mixer and dual CD player. The combination eliminates the need for excessive external gear and is ideal when space is an issue. In addition to standard audio CDs, the MIX-3 supports MP3 audio CD playback. This allows DJs to have more titles within reach, without the bulk. The CD MIX-3 features phono / line switchable inputs for accommodating external turntables, CD players, MP3 players, etc. Additional features include +/- 12 % pitch control and 3-band stereo output EQ. The CD MIX-3 is a convenient solution for the mobile, home or club DJ.

- MP3 CD Support
- The MIX-3 supports MP3 CD format, enabling DJs to carry larger libraries of music with less bulk.
- EQ On Each Channel
- Each channel features a two band EQ for real-time frequency manipulation.
- Phono / Line Switchable Inputs
- Dual phono/line switchable inputs allow external turntables or line level devices to be connected. A third line input is provided for dedicated line level signals, such as CD recorder playback, computer audio, etc.
- Balanced and Unbalanced Output
- The output section features both, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA phono connections.
- Continuous or Track Programmable Playback
- The CD decks or programmable for continuous deck-to-deck playback or static track selection.

I used the CDMIX 2 for about 5yrs. I loved it! It was very reliable and very durable. After "tons" of gigs, it finally started to go on me. Wasn't reading the CD's properly. Heck, maybe the CD players just needed to be cleaned. Anywho, I decided to step-up to the CDMIX 3, for the simple fact it plays MP3's. It's virtually the same as the MIX 2, except for that feature. I like it a lot! Well built, plays MP3's, durable, and very easy to use.

MP3 is the way to go. However, MP3 mixers can easily run you over a grand plus if you don't search properly. When this unit first came out, it was around $600. I have been eye-balling this unit for over a year and a half. Finally, I got this from B&H for [$] [...] and I have been enjoying this unit ever since. It has a lot of mixing functions that the high end mixers carry as well. Numark is a reputable business entity when it comes to music and I'd recommend this to any one who is a hobbist like my self or mobile DJ. In fact, I have two gigs this summer and I can't wait to just show off. Great buy and highly recommended.
