The Series 5000 ED APO apochromatic refractor was several years in the making and makes an incredible instrument for wide field astrophotography. Through the use of ED (extra-low dispersion) glass, images yielded through the Series 5000 ED APO refractor have tiny pinpoint stars and brilliantly true color. Apochromatic refractors are best for those who primarily wish to observe the moon, planets in dark skies.
