With an enormous 250 lbs payload capacity and smooth 650-teeth worm gear RA/Dec drive axes, the MAX telescope mount lives up to its brawny name with smooth precision. The MAX operates upon a quick release dovetail system so that many scopes can be mounted, and has a full range of latitude settings from the horizon to zenith. The MAX is made entirely at Meade's cutting edge Irvine, California facilities and is capable of supporting nearly any large telescope.
