The Casio Exilim EX-S600 Digital Camera is barely larger than a credit card and just 0.54" at its thinnest point. Packed into the pocket-sized body are 6.0 megapixels of resolution for still images, and MPEG-4 quality movie recording capabilities. No matter how spontaneous the situation, the Exilim engine's Anti Shake DSP reduces blurring caused by shaky hands and/or moving subjects, and the Auto Macro and Quick Shutter functions ensure that photos are properly focused. In addition to enhanced resolution, the EX-S600's 3x zoom and increased battery life allowing up to 300 shots per battery charge provide significant photographic flexibility, and The Best Shot menu includes the Revive Shot feature, created specifically for taking digital pictures of old album photos and automatically adjusts for obliquity as well as brightly refreshes faded colors.
Whether framing a shot, reviewing images, or watching movies, everything is brighter when displayed on the adjustable 2.2 inch LCD, making it ideal for outdoor use. Small enough to conveniently carry wherever you go, the EX-S600 has one-touch buttons that allow quick start up of the camera to view images and take pictures, as well as one for taking movies, all designed to quickly capture special moments. The EX-S600 connects easily to a TV or PC via the multi cradle, which also doubles as the battery charger.

- The CCD-Chip of the EXILIM EX-S600 supplies a rich 6 million pixels of full color brilliance. Such high resolution photos give you the advantage that you can print them out in excellent quality or edit them on the computer, making enlargement of details and poster size photo prints possible.
- Built-in and Expandable Memory
- The EX-S600 has 8.3MB of internal memory so you can start shooting immediately. The storage capacity an also be greatly expanded with either Secure Digital (SD) or MultiMediaCard (MMC) media so you can save large numbers of photos and record movies in excess of an hour or more in duration.
- 3x Optical Zoom
- The EX-S600 is only about as thick as your little finger - but has a 3x optical zoom. And so you will be able to see the finest details and always be in the thick of the action.
- 9-point Multi AF for High-speed, High-precision Focusing
- 9-point Multi AF means you never need to worry about focusing again. When you press the shutter button, the camera automatically selects one of nine focus points, based on which one is aligned with the nearest subject, and focuses on that point. This helps to avoid loss of foreground images, and minimizes the change of images being out of focus.
- Ultra Flat Stainless Steel Housing
- The EX-S600 is only about as big as a credit card, as thick as your little finger - and doesn't weigh much more than a bar of chocolate. The high quality stainless steel casing of the EX-S600 is machined to precise tolerances - resulting in a beautiful camera that is also very durable.
- 2.2" TFT Color Display
- With a large 2.2-inch diagonal screen size, the bright TFT color display of the EX-S600 is so large that it takes up almost the entire back of the camera. Its brilliant definition and two adjustable levels of brightness enable a precise view on your motifs and on stored photos or movies.
- Exilim Engine
- The latest Exilim engine incorporates several components in a tiny space, works extremely quickly and saves energy. Thus it offers high resolution photos, high quality movies and a large number of functions in one ultra compact camera - that fits nearly in any pocket.
- Quick Shutter Release
- With moving subjects, an autofocus must keep resetting itself - and this wastes time. The quick shutter turns the autofocus off when the shutter is immediately pushed down fully. As a result, the time between pressing the shutter and starting shooting is only 0.007 seconds.
- Direct-On function
- While other cameras are still extending the lens, the EX-S600 has been taking the best photos and movies thanks to the Direct-On function - at the touch of a button your camera is ready to shoot in just 1 second.
- High Speed Image Scrolling
- With the high speed image scrolling function you can scroll through ten shots a second and thus find the right one quickly.
- Anti-Shake DSP
- The latest version of the Exilim Engine features the Anti Shake DSP, which reduces blurring caused by shaking hands or moving subjects, while the Auto Macro and Quick Shutter features ensure that photos are properly focused.
- Revive Shot
- Revive those faded memories with the Revive Shot function. It gives old album photos a new and long life in digital form. Simply photograph the pictures and with the help of the trapezoid compensation and the color restoration features, and yellowed and faded colors are improved automatically.
- Icon Help Function
- Many of the Exilim EX-S600 functions are all but self-explanatory. However, if you are unsure of what a particular function icon stands for, a small helpful message flashes on the camera screen that tell you about the setting you have currently selected.
- Flash Assist
- With flash shots the background often remains dark, and the subject is only slightly lit. Now with Casio's Flash Assist function, the subject can, in many cases, still be corrected automatically.
- Advanced Movie Capture

A powerful movie mode lets you record VGA size (640 x 480 pixels), 30-frame-per-second MPEG-4 movies. Images are processed to ensure longer, high quality movies. A noise filter dramatically eliminates white speck noise from playback. In addition to enjoying playback on the built-in 2.2-inch LCD monitor screen, you can also connect to your household TV for big-screen viewing with family and friends. Simple connection to a DVD/VCR deck means you can create an entire library or original movies or share movies with your friends. Some of the more unique movie functions are listed below:
- Past Movie Function
Pressing the shutter button records a movie, starting from the point five seconds before you pressed the shutter button. This mode helps you capture your baby's first steps, or an unforgettable look of surprise on a loved-one's face, even if you are a bit late with the shutter button. - Short Movie
Pressing the shutter button records an eight-second movie, so you can collect snippets of only the most important action whenever you want. You can specify the relative length of the past part and the future part of a short movie, for a total of eight seconds. - Snapshot in movie
You can record a snapshot while movie recording is in progress by simply pressing the shutter button. You don't even need to change modes. The camera automatically returns to movie recording after recording the snapshot (Movie image and audio is interrupted for a few seconds when the snapshot is recorded). - Silent Movie
Monochrome color and slightly faster speed produce an effect that is just like old time silent movies. - Film Stabilization Function
The film stabilization function can reduce the risk of filming scenes which are wobbly because the camera has not been held still. The Film Stabilization function compensates for undesirable wobbles, to produce better films. - On-Camera Movie Editing
You can perform basic movie editing tasks right on the camera. Cut everything from a specified location to the beginning of the movie, cut everything between two points, or cut everything from the current location to the end of the movie. - Motion Print
Motion Print lets you capture a frame from a movie and create a snapshot out of it. Captured images can be printed and given to people who appear in them, or included in your own photo album. It's a totally new way to enjoy digital movies. - Movie Enlargement Playback
With Movie Enlargement Playback, films you have recorded can be enlarged up to 4.5x - without losing any of the details.

- You don't have to be an expert to take fantastic pictures: In fact, the EX-S600 has 34 flexible pre-settings for all sorts of situations to ensure that all photos and movies turn out well automatically. With Best Shot you can create and save your own settings in a flash, too, and you can retrieve them at any time. Whether you are taking Portrait-shots, at night, in the sun or in the shade, Best Shot has the right function for the best results - And nearly all Best Shot motif settings are suitable both for taking photos and movies.
- Super Life Battery
- When, for perfectly good reasons, the battery suddenly dies, it's more than annoying - but avoidable. EX-S600 uses very little energy and takes a Super Life Battery. Therefore, it has enough power to take 300 photos to CIPA standard.
- USB Docking Station
- The USB docking station provides a high speed USB 2.0 connection to your computer and simultaneously charges the battery. The AV connection provided also means users can even show your photos and movies on a television. With the USB 2.0 connecttion, you'll transfer data at up to 480 Mbps and provides USB Direct Print and PictBridge standards for direct connection to many current photo printers. In addition, the cradle permits the use of the camera as photo display device - just run saved pictures across the screen in a slide show.
