The Jobu Design Skorpion Ground Pod was designed to support the BWG gimbal head extremely low to the ground, whether its for shooting shorebirds on a sandy beach or squirrels from a picnic table, or gazelles from a land-rover's roof.
The SGP has a solid aluminum base with a unique flip-flop foot design. One side of the SGP can be used with the three skis in order to push it along sand, snow or grass so that you can creep up on your subject. The other side has three rubber feet that are suitable for any hard surface, such as a table, car-roof, or cement.
A convenient carry handle allows you to carry around your gear with ease.

Comments about Jobu Design SGP Scorpion Ground Pod for Black Widow Gimbal (BWG) Heads:
This worked extremely well for exactly what it was designed, i.e., car/table top tripod with a tripod head and large lens and for sliding along the ground/sand for shore bird type shots. Use on the ground does require the photographer to lay down. Its combined size and weight make carrying it long distances impracticle without a pack.
