Aleratec DVD/CD Disc Repair Plus Motorized Repair and Cleaning Machine - for CD or DVD Disc
The Aleratec DVD/CD Disc Repair Plus is a motorized system that can repair and clean up to 99% of all scratched DVD, CD, Game Discs or VCD discs that are used in an Aleratec duplicator or publishing system, without the hassle that comes with a manual cleaning kit. It comes with three different sets of wheels (repair, cleaning, and buffering) making fixing scratches as easy as 1-2-3. All that has to be done is open the lid, put 3 drops of repair solution on the repair wheel, insert the scratched disc and press "Repair".

I am into Recording and Spinning Business and when I saw this product at the B&H website, I gave a great sigh of relief, thinking that it will let me have some of my great CDs back.
I used the Disc repair solution to try 3 of my scratched Cds and could not get them working. One Cd even stopped working entirely (Now the lens could not read it at all)!
Again the Chemical for disc repair is just about one-third the size of the small tube. How do they expert international buyers like me to order only a refill for several tens to hundreds of dollars?
I have just packed it back in its box. It may be a good present for my 8year old son.

Purchased from B & H, first unit failed after 6 discs (day of receipt). Contacted B&H, who were most helpful and professional, replacement unit shipped same day. Carefully re-read and again followed instructions using second unit.
Second unit lasted for 11 discs then failed in the same way (again on day of receipt, appears to be the same problem, motor is turning, but disc is not. When working results good.
Seldom write reviews, but feel poor quality of this product needs advertising and addressing.

I had some dvd and cds that were so badly scratched they would skip or freeze when played. I was about ready to throw them out, but then I found the Aleratec dvd/cd repair kit. The amount of money it costs to save the discs is far cheaper than it would cost to purchase them again. Great buy.
