This is a Photoflex 41 x 74" (104 x 188cm), Soft Gold/White Opaque LiteDisc collapsible reflector. Photoflex LiteDiscs and MultiDiscs are designed for use in the studio, or on location. They add light to shadow areas, add or subtract color casts, or diffuse harsh light.
LiteDiscs come in a variety of sizes: 12, 22, 32, 42, 52" circular, and 41 x 74" Oval.
MultiDiscs are available in 22, 32 and 42" circular sizes. MultiDiscs start as a White Translucent disc, with a reversible slipcover that provides white, silver, gold and soft gold surfaces.
Pick the size that is right for the size of your subject. Pick the color combination that is right for the ambient light, or your creative direction.
Each LiteDisc has a sturdy spring-steel frame that is covered by a heavy duty white fabric. With a twist of both wrists (and a little practice), they collapse to 1/3 their open sizes. Each comes with a nylon storage bag.
Insure consistency and ease of placement by ordering a LiteDisc Holder. The holder, combined with a light stand, acts as a second pair of hands, locking the disc in the exact desired position. The holder also helps your assistant hold the disc flat and steady, especially in outdoor breezes.

Comments about Photoflex LiteDisc Oval Reflector, Soft Gold/White Opaque, 41 x 74" (104 x 188cm):
At this size the metal band is not strong enough to hold it flat. Also the soft gold side is too reflective (models have a very difficult time not squinting when you point this at them) and for my tastes, it is still too "gold" adding more warmth than what looks natural for outdoors.

Comments about Photoflex LiteDisc Oval Reflector, Soft Gold/White Opaque, 41 x 74" (104 x 188cm):
This is a great reflector, but, for the money, I feel like the material that covers the spring-steel frame could have been a little bit heavier. I feel like that will be the first thing to wear out.
I think that some reviews have slightly exaggerated the dificulty of folding this reflector. While it is difficult, it's never taken me more that a couple of minutes to get it done. But I'm sure those two minutes can feel like a frustrating eternity if you're in a hurry. I should add that I've never bothered to read any instructions on how to fold it and I've only used it on one shoot so far. I think that it's going to get easier to fold after I use it a few more times.
It's relatively large even after being folded and I can't fit this one into the same bag that I carry my other, large round reflectors in.
This is the first "full length" reflector that I've used and I have to say that I really like it. It makes it much easier to get light onto the subject, even in relatively low-light conditions. There's not as much "aiming" involved as with smaller reflectors. I also found it easy to prop it against a tree since I was working last time without an assistant. Windy conditions would make that improbable however.
Overall, its a really great reflector but I feel that it's slightly over-priced. Since I don't have any other reflectors in this size-range, I can't really make a comparison though.

Comments about Photoflex LiteDisc Oval Reflector, Soft Gold/White Opaque, 41 x 74" (104 x 188cm):
I use this product for on-location shoots. I also have Photoflex light frame/panel products and neither are particularly easy to deal with. The built-in frame in these is flimsy and makes it very hard to control in the wind. I understand completely the other reviewers and their comments on folding it up. There is a secret to it but you have to be patient to learn. Spend some time with it on a carpeted floor and learn the unique combo used to get it to fold down - it will work, I promise. Don't have someone else help you - put one end on the ground then push and twist down from the top.
Overall while wouldn't necessarily recommend this to someone, until I find something else better, the reflective qualities of the fabric serve my purposes and it will do.

What's the point of using this when it's impossible to fold it up??? I would rather assemble an entire room with [...] furniture. There must be a better way, then trying to get this oval to fold up into a circle. Seems like I'm not the only one who feels that way either.

Comments about Photoflex LiteDisc Oval Reflector, Soft Gold/White Opaque, 41 x 74" (104 x 188cm):
I used for location work.
Stopped using it because the thing will never fold up right. I can get other round reflectors to fold instantly but this never will. Spend 30 min each time and never fold correctly. It's to huge it's really to much of a bother to take with me so now it just sits in a corner.

Comments about Photoflex LiteDisc Oval Reflector, Soft Gold/White Opaque, 41 x 74" (104 x 188cm):
This is a great reflector, the soft gold adds a very nice warm tone to the fill light. Most gold reflectors are too yellow, the nice thing about the Photoflex soft gold is that it is subtle.
The only drawback to the 41x74 is that it is very large and difficult to handle if it is windy. A round reflector is a stiffer and easier to hande in windy conditions.
The great thing about the 41x74 is that it is a BIG reflector and can fill a large area. This reflector really kicks light into the shadows.
This is a reflector to fill out your kit, after you have a medium and large round.

Comments about Photoflex LiteDisc Oval Reflector, Soft Gold/White Opaque, 41 x 74" (104 x 188cm):
Very flat, easy to fold up after a few tries, fantastically huge flat reflective surface.
White/Soft Gold is the BEST team for portraits in my opinion.
Almost too large to hold without the litedisc holder. (at least for extended periods of time)
Probably big enough to use for an upper body shot of two people, or a full body shot of one.
