I mainly use this product for outdoor portraits on bright sunny days. It was a little hard to fold back up at first. I didn't find the directions to be exact. But once I figured it out, put away is very easy. I love the carrying case that comes with it.

It works wonders if you're either indoors, or outdoors when there is no wind. However, a slight breeze will render this useless (not to mention frustrating). It is huge and a bit akward. The material is great and produces beautiful light in the sweet spot. I'll probably get a scrim jim for my next one though.

I used this for the first time yesterday at an outdoor mid-day portrait session. My husband was the voice-activated diffuser holder, and had a little trouble when trying to hold it horizontally as it would try to fold in on itself. It's also tricky to fold..took us about a dozen tries to fold it up, then on the last try it just fell into place. I've never used a reflector or diffuser this large, so I'm assuming the negatives are normal with this size.

Great disk for defusing bright sunlight on products, people and animals. I use it to photograph birds for controlled lighting in sunlight. Softens harsh light. Easy to fold up and set up and store.

I've used the smaller Litedisc scrims for years & finally decided I needed a couple of the bigger versions. The level of diffusion is excellent for full daylight situations or where you have too much direct light flooding a scene (say a large window indoors). I have found it a breeze to clip a couple together with spring clamps & hey presto! instant filtered mini-studio with perfect light in any bright outdoor situation. Be aware that they are prone to being taken by the wind if not secured, after all they are basically like a small sail!Folding them is a bit of a practised skill but once that's learnt they're a breeze to use. I wouldn't be without them, they have allowed me to achieve results that just wouldn't have been possible in unfiltered conditions. If you don't need the larger size consider adding one of the smaller discs to your kit. You won't regret it. [...]

I used it to photograph a bride and groom on the beach in Costa Rica. It diffuses the light beautilfully.
It's large so if it's windy it's tricky to handle, I had an assistant.
Sometimes you just have to shoot in full sun and this screen makes that possible.
