Hi Guy's and Girl's;
I just purchased a Bushnell Laser Bore Sighter. I've wanted or needed some kind of bore sighter for a long time so I decided to try this one.
I have a Mech-Tech, CCU in 10 mm and it has no sights at all so it's not easy for me to sight in my new Red Dot Sight that I bought for it and I don't have easy quick (cheap) access to a shooting range to sight it in at.
So I quickly set it up for 10 mm and stuck it in the muzzle and stepped outdoors to aim at a target about 25 yards away and sighted in the Red Dot Sight in about 2 minutes or less, we'll see how it does next time I go to a range but I checked the Bore Sighter in some of my other firearms and it agreed with the sights that were on those firearms so I'm confident that it will be close and I can fine tune it later.
I also checked the Bore Sight to see if turning it in the barrel would effect the aim point, it did not so I think it will do a good job for most firearms that have at least a 3-1/2" long barrel.
Well, have a Happy New Year all. (Yeah, I know it might be tough but just hang in there), Dan.

Not sure if the machining is sloppy or what.
Also, the laser birghtness isn't anything to write home about... that makes the range very limited.
Oh well... glad it didn't cost alot.

Comments about Bushnell Laser Bore Sighter:
It worked and it was bright, but the laser was off centre and it renders it useless to sight a gun.

Comments about Bushnell Laser Bore Sighter:
Fits most calibers, ok quality. Saves time, easy to use with rifle, no problem to hit a A4 sheet in 100 yards, after correction with laser.

Comments about Bushnell Laser Bore Sighter:
The bore sighter will not put the laser in the same spot if it is removed from the barrel and put back in again. It will probably get you close to the paper (at least until you forget to pull it out and send a round down range). Also the laser was about 1" at 50 yards and not very clear and defined.

This will get you on the paper but you will have to take a few shots to get zeroed in.
It could be more powerful because at any distance you have to sight in at night. If they made one with a green laser it might be better

Comments about Bushnell Laser Bore Sighter:
For the paltry sum of [$] I saved LOTS of money on ammo getting sighted in close before any trigger pulling. Mind you, it's not the most elaborate device in the world, but it gets you on paper for further adjustment. Is it supposed to do more, I ask? Solid construction and any idiot ought to be able to use this for several calibers. Make sure the plastic arbor is fairly snug going in the barrel. I've used it on my AR-15, my Remington 597, my SKS , my 12 ga. shotgun, and my .45 1911. No problem with the on/off button for me. Came with the battery. Money well spent!

Comments about Bushnell Laser Bore Sighter:
I don't like to be picky over such a low priced item. Here is what I found that I didn't like. The screws that hold the different bore adapters on had sloppy (hex) allenheads on them, they would slip on the allen wrench supplied. The two largest ones for the shotgun sizes were longer than the screws so they need longer screws. This might not be such a problem but these screws were metric threads and very fine ones at that so you won't find them in your local hardware store. I used a pair of pliers instead of the allen wrench and don't really need the shotgun ones, so I am OK with this. It has been so hot in NC that I have not checked to see how accurate the bore sighter was in reference to the scope adjustment. I would buy this again in spite of this concerns, however.

Comments about Bushnell Laser Bore Sighter:
Don't even think about using this when the sun is shining you can't see the dot at 25 yards much less at 75 or 100. It would have been cheaper to buy a pound of powder some bullets and primers and reload a hundred shells. I've been teaching IN Hunter Ed and 4h shooting sports for 23 years and will tell all the other instructors and students not to waste their money.

Instructions don't match the device received, can't find how to turn on and what the allen wrench is to be used for.

Comments about Bushnell Laser Bore Sighter:
The new design ( without the on off switch) is better and quality is good and it will get you "on the paper" but still the factory setting should be more precise. The laser is not centered, so you are left guessing what is the correct point of aim since; if you rotate the bore, the beam makes a circle on the paper. If it were centered the beam would stay on target. The adjusting screws are almost impossible to move and may strip.

A must have for setting up a Red Dot Laser Site on a pistol. Also great for checking your Iron sites. It saves you a lot of time and ammo.

Comments about Bushnell Laser Bore Sighter:
I followed the instructions and couldn't hit ANYWHERE on a 2' x 2' Target at 75 yards using this bore sighter to align the scope on my .22 magnum rifle. Using the good old iron sights I was able to hit 8" clusters. A friend of mine has the same bore sighter and gave up on it when trying to align his AR-15 scope. I researched it and found problems reported about the barrel stem being off center when lathed on some of these products. I thought it was just a fluke, so I bought one because it was low priced... a mistake! You get what you pay for. It does the same thing as my friend's did. When turning the bore sighter while it's inserted properly in the barrel, the laser beam rotates in various locations around the crosshairs of my scope at the same target at the same distance. Even with that inconsistency, it still should have been somewhere on a 2' x 2' target. I tried it with my 9mm Marlin Camp 9 Carbine with the larger arbor with similar results. NOT recommended!

Used this product with both my target pistol and rifle. Works very well on both. Borrowed a different brand bore sighter that worked equally well but cost almost twice as much. Great value. Good product.

I almost returned immediately after taking out of box...would not turn on after I properly installed batteries...as it turned out batteries were too loose fitting...I took a small piece of aluminum foil and made a ball about the size of a bb and put it in with batteries to snug them up and that worked. I figured it isn't worth the trouble to return and it seems to be working just fine after I re-engineered it. Thanks for asking.

This is an excellent tool for sighting in laser sights or others for that matter. I have a Glock 23 with two laser sights and the Laser Bore Sighter works perfect. So easy to install, setup and use... takes only minutes and you are ready... there is really nothing to adjust except fitting it to the barrel. I really do not have any cons because everything just worked the way it is suppose to work and the accuracy is awsome. The first time setting is it for the tool then just adjust the gun sites and you are there.

Works pretty well on my Beretta PX-4. 4 " barrel so any shorter may pose a problem. Bought 2 batteries for it also that were not needed as it DID come with them even though the ads say they do not. Best price [...] I found anywhere. Great unit for a really nice price. I like it!

Laser did not go out, I compared to scope that is zero'd in and the laser was about an inch off my cross hair's at 55 yards. Great starting point.
