Comments about Behringer FEX800 Multi-FX Processor:
I am a vocalist who records several hundred songs per year in my small home studio. I collaborate with and perform in real time with friends online. I needed an inexpensive Multi-FX Processor to give my vocals some delay, reverb, chorus and ambience. After quite a bit of research, I went with the Behringer FEX800. This unit has been running smoothly every day for the past three years. Thousands of performances later, it's still going strong. From my experience, I recommend it highly for those using vocal applications.
This unit didn't come with an instruction manual and only recently did I think to look online for one. Behringer supply a pdf user manual. The user manual opened a whole new level of sophistication that I didn't realise was available with this unit.
I have noticed that the input level potentiometer doesn't register smoothly all the time.
It's small and lightweight, and does an excellent job for me.

Comments about Behringer FEX800 Multi-FX Processor:
Mine broke after a week.....it was not expensive. so not much loss. Will only buy high quality things in the future.
The effects are not that great either.
I will not buy another one as I do not want to participate in wasting the earth's resources to create cheap things that will end up in a landfill.

Comments about Behringer FEX800 Multi-FX Processor:
I perform solo and wanted something to add a little vocal reverb to my show, so I bought one of these units. It worked beautifully ... until it died just after the warranty period had expired. It exhibited the same behavior as that cited by a previous reviewer. Considering how inexpensive it was, I chalked it up to bad luck and bought another one ... from B&H in fact. That was in Dec of '08 -- it died last week. Based on this unit's track record, I won't be buying another one.
Comments about Behringer FEX800 Multi-FX Processor:
This is a nicely made little device, works well and sounds great. We bought some of them to do a Pitch Shift function of + or - 10% for a telecine application where it is imperative to run the film off speed (for reasons I won't go into) and then correct voices so they sound believeable.
But, we bought 4 of them and 3 of these died after just a few days use! In each case, it was working fine until we turned it off, then when we turned it on again the pilot light was dim and flickering and the unit would not fire up.
It did seem like the right end of the unit was getting quite hot, perhaps there should be vent holes or even a tiny cooling fan. My one operational complaint is that the Parameter Edit knob has dozens of positions and the switch does not have detents to click positively into the chosen position. This makes it too easy for it to get bumped when trying to do a pitch shift of a particular percentage for example.
I hope that the factory in China can figure out what they are doing wrong, I assume this was just a bad batch since the company normally has a good reputation.
If Behringer can fix their reliability problem I would heartily recommmend this model.
