The MCS2 MIDI Media Control Station 2 from JL Cooper, is a compact remote that features large buttons for Record, Play, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind and other editing functions. A precision, optically encoded jog/shuttle wheel allows the user to jog or shuttle effortlessly with frame accuracy.
Shift and Option modifier keys on the controller can output more than twenty different MIDI Machine Control (and General Purpose Controller) Messages, including track arming. These messages can control a variety of compatible hard disk recorders, such as those from Akai, Fostex, Mackie Roland, Tascam and others, in addition to computer based editing systems.
