The JL Cooper MCS-Locator is a remote Video Cue Controller designed to be used in conjunction with the JLCooper MCS3 RS-422/9PIN jog shuttle control module, or as a stand alone controller. The MCS-Locator provides Go-To and Edit Preset Control for up to four video or audio machines that follow the Sony RS-422/P2 protocol.
The MCS-Locator is commonly used in News rooms and other edit suites where rapid tape deck advancement to specific frames based on time code input are necessary. This makes for rapid response to the dynamics of live broadcast and ever changing editorial decisions.
When used in combination with the MCS3 9PIN/RS-422 or MCS3S 9PIN/RS-422 version, you will have complete Multimachine transport control with a professional jog/shuttle mechanism and advanced auto-locator controls.
