The MMC/9PIN+ from JLCooper allows audio mixing consoles, computer-based sequencers, and digital editing systems to control 422/P2 compatible video tape recorders (VTRs) and disk based recorders. This lets audio editors and composers control both a VTR and a workstation simultaneously.
The MMC/9PIN+ converts MIDI Machine Control (MMC) messages into the proper RS-422 (Sony 9 Pin/P-2) commands. The unit also supports BVU-800/900 emulation.
