the printer works great when printing directly from a memory card, but after two hours of tech support we still can't get the software to load to my computer. I am very frustrated right now. The B&H employees were very nice and patient and did pass me on to Sony tech support. They have not returned my call yet.

I purchased this printer back in April 2011 because I had a big event coming up. I can truly say my clients were very happy with their professional prints. My first event paid for the printer. Thank you Sony for making a great product.

I have wanted this printer for years now, and I am so happy to finally have it! It definitely didn't disappoint! I only wish that the printing supplies were available locally! The Sony store close to me only carries the print supplies for the newer models.

Comments about Sony UP-CR10L SnapLab Digital Photo Printer for Up To 5x7" Prints:
i originally purchased the fuji ask 2000. problems with driver install on xp, worked on win 7 machine only. had a loud clanking noise when printing (this apparently was normal). it was also very heavy and took up a lot of space. the printer ribbon itself was spooled up off center so all prints came out with a white bar at the bottom because of the lack of full paper coverage. luckily bhphoto took this printer back. the good design mechanisms of the snaplab appears as though this kind of problem cannot happen.i ordered the snaplab in it's place and i have to say it was extremely easy to setup. i was up and printing via the kiosk in a matter of minutes. i spent two hours trying to figure out the driver issues with the fuji ask 2000. the quality of print is fantastic as well, better than the ask 2000. text is much sharper. print speed is ultra fast. (i'm coming from a multiple inkjet printer setup: always ran into issues)i don't think this printer has the option to print in luster vs. glossy as i had thought, however. i looks like its bigger brother CR20L has this capability. not a deal breaker in any way. the prints are awesome enough! much kudos to sony for a fantastic product! i have yet to hook it up to my computer, but the kiosk and card reader integration is user friendly enough. great alternate game plan for when the computer acts up. if you're considering the ask 2000 vs. the snaplab cr10l, the snaplab wins hands down. the print media might be a little more expensive, but the ease of use, versatility and quality more than makes up for it.[...]

I shoot middle school dances and use this to print at the event. I love that I no longer have to go home, download, edit, print etc. The kids love that they have the photos right there. My business has grown because the kids look at the photos right there, and often buy another set. The set up is easy, it's easy to use, although I haven't figured out how to use the borders yet but I'm sure that's my shortcomings, not the product.
I don't like that I'm not supposed to leave the ink and paper in the machine when I move it; I wish it could just stay in. I also wish there were a way to have 4x6 and 5x7 paper in at the same time or something but it isn't too bad to bring it all and change things out as you go.

Comments about Sony UP-CR10L SnapLab Digital Photo Printer for Up To 5x7" Prints:
Hello,
We used a pair of SnapLab 10 printers for a mall portrait with Santa. They worked flawlessly and everyone was VERY happy with the prints. They are speedy, flexible, and it don't require a computer -- although we printed from a computer in that case. Great online information and support. Supplies readily available.
Prints are dry and ready to handle as soon as they come out. The clear coating that is put on means the prints have longer life than non-coated Dye Sub printers.
Prints take about 17 seconds to print, but probably add about 15 seconds for overhead for each image you are printing if you are printing from a computer. Still, but the time our customers had finished paying for the prints they were ready.
Paper loading is easy. You can buy extra holders for fast switching between paper sizes. The ribbon gets changed with the paper. The ribbon comes on a cartridge that is super-easy to change -- much faster than the SnapLab 20.
I most certainly would recommend the printer to anyone.

I have rented this unit in the past and it always works and is so simple you can leave it with the client and they can run it. I use it for event photography so people can have a photo of their event to take with them.

I take pictures at cabarets and nightclubs. I use to use up to 6 inkjet printers and still had problems printing when I would get a mad rush. I bought 1 to do my 4x6 prints. It worked so well, I had to buy another for my 5x7 prints. With these there is no post processing (cutting) needed. Fast, fast, fast.

Comments about Sony UP-CR10L SnapLab Digital Photo Printer for Up To 5x7" Prints:
I bought this printer so I could do on-site printing at events. When I got it, I decided to just run a bunch of 4x6's I had to print for a job to see how it works. It's really easy to use, the prints come out in no time, and I'm thinking I may just use this for orders where I don't feel like running to the lab! The only thing I noticed out of the box is that it seemed to print things a little bright and flat, but that's probably fine for printing event photos on-site, since most scenes are going to be dark and a little contrasty.

Comments about Sony UP-CR10L SnapLab Digital Photo Printer for Up To 5x7" Prints:
We bought 2 of these printers in February. We have used one at all type of events and have had great results. The problem is we did not use the 2nd printer until recently due to size of event. It was DOA. So if it works out of the box these printers are fantastic, but I have a second large event coming up and my second printer is backordered. They are very cost effective. I probably will end up buying a third.

This item was purchased for our luxury resort. At first, I was looking at a more commercial model, but the sales rep [...]recommended this model to me. I was very grateful because it costed less than what I was expecting to pay, and it over-delivers in terms of what we plan on using it for.Our first event was easter sunday, where we took complimentary photos of our guests with the easter bunny. The prints came out perfect and very fast (about 15 secs each). Our guests were very pleased with the pictures and was very thankful of this complimentary service. This small detail made quite an experience and would not have been the same if we used an inkjet printer!I look forward to seeing the print results using the 5"x7" paper as well. Our next events are summer family events and the winter events. From my first experience, I'm sure this will be very successful and last a long time.

I purchased this printer to print photos at an event. The 4x6 prints came out in a matter of 30 seconds or less (after being processed by photoshop / lightroom). Colors are great and quality of print is very impressive. It is very light and portable.

Comments about Sony UP-CR10L SnapLab Digital Photo Printer for Up To 5x7" Prints:
I shoot a lot of events that need quick quality prints. The Snaplab is the printer of choice for these jobs. I have some of the other major brand dye subs, and although they make great quick prints too, the Snaplab is the printer I grab. It is much lighter than the competition, and the on-board card reader and screen make a built-in back-up if my laptop is ever to crash. The media is easy to change and resonably priced.
