Like most avid photographers, I own more than my share of bags. The Stealth Reporter D200AW stands out as an exceptionally useful bag across multiple scenarios, due to its sublime balance between equipment carrying capacity and relative low profile. I am able to load it up with the necessary gear for most of my location assignments, without compromising agility or inviting load-carrying fatigue after several hours in the field.
It is versatile enough to easily re-configure for different equipment needs, and it will comfortably accomodate a typical load-out consisting of:
- Pro SLR attached to 24-70mm/2.8
- Speedlight
- Light Meter
- 50mm/1.4
- 85mm/1.8
- telephoto zoom (70-300 eaily; 70-200/2.8 tight)
- CF cards (in provided wallet)
- batteries, remote release, etc.
- filter case
- mobile phone, passport, other personal items
The bag is chock-full of utilitarian compartments that allow easy access to CF media, pens, business cards, etc. in addition to camera equipment. It even has secret compartments for important documents or anything else you might need to stash beyond the reach of even a fairly thorough bag check.
Construction is robust without being bulky. LowePro has significantly improved strap design over the years, culminating in a very well-padded one on the current series of Stealth Reporter bags.
I also own older copies of the D100AW and D300AW Stealth Reporter bags. While these are quite competent and have given me years of unfettered service, the recent design enhancements on the current series(strap, fastener, soft inner padding on the cover flap, inclusion of CF card wallet and soft pouch) make updating to the newer series very worthwhile.
Also, while the D100AW can only accomodate enough gear for casual shooting, and the D300AW is a little bulky and heavy when fully laden, the D200AW achieves a good balance.

I have no idea why this bag is so highly rated. I am not even a picky person, but I am sending it back and shopping for another one right now. It is TOO SMALL. The description tells you: you can fit an SLR camera, 3-4 lenses, flash and accessories. I've read the same in a number of reviews below. NO WAY! And I don't even have a lot - D80, 50mm fixed, kit 18-135, 24-70, SB-900 and some filters, remote et cetera. I have no clue how the guy below says he could "easily" fit " a D200 with a Sigma 70-300 on it and other 4 canon 70-200 f4 L and a Nikon 50 1.4. And you still have two pockets for an SB600 and an LX3." ?!??What?!! Are we talking the same bag?? (That's beside the obvious question-why does he carry D200 with Canon lenses?? :) Besides, the advertised "easy access" to the camera through the zipper on the top is a total joke! Maybe a tiny point and shoot, there's NO way you can get a SLR through that opening.
On a separate note, to be fair, it is well crafted, good quality, just not as big as they advertise.

Comments about Lowepro Stealth Reporter D200AW Bag:
Fits my camera body w/ lens attached, 2 more lenses, and my flash with room to spare. However, though the top zipper does not open enough to allow me to remove the camera, it does provide convenient access for lens changes, or the flash.

Comments about Lowepro Stealth Reporter D200AW Bag:
I work as a photojournalist and love the idea of this bag, but I was disappointed that it was so difficult to get my camera, Canon D50 with mid-sized lens, through the top opening w/o unzipping the cover. I am returning this bag and will go, with my camera in hand, to B&H and try out another model. Ordering on-line proved to be a problem for me with this article. the bag is otherwise super, by the way...

Comments about Lowepro Stealth Reporter D200AW Bag:
I use this for my Leica M camera and 4-6 lenses plus accessories. The bag is very comfortable and has a lot of padding for equipment protection. I really only use this bag on long trips, because the size defeats the purpose of the compact rangefinder system. But I could see using it on a daily basis for a DSLR and 2-3 lenses

I just got this bag in the mail, and I can tell already that I'm gonna love it! It's not for packing all the gear I own, but for a day of picture taking, it is just right. It has the small opening at the top, as all the reviews say, but I believe I can work with it. Looking forward to hauling this around for many a happy day of snapping!

I'm using the bag to carry a 60D plus lens, audio recorder, mic, wires and spare batteries. Plenty of space for all that plus an extra lens if I need it. The straps are comfortable and well designed. I love the easy-access zipper across the top.

Comments about Lowepro Stealth Reporter D200AW Bag:
I was looking for a bag to carry my Nikon D7000 with a 17-200 Nikon zoom lens,SB 900 flash and small accessories. Everything fits in the Lowpro bag. I also wanted a camera bag that would fit inside my airline carry on so that the unattended bag would not be a target of thieves while I was going thru airport security

Comments about Lowepro Stealth Reporter D200AW Bag:
Plenty of room. I'm carrying 4 lenses plus the camera body, an external flash, filters, hoods, cleaning supplies, etc. The only downside is the tendency to overload the bag because of all the space. Then the bag gets heavy. Great shoulder strap. Doesn't slip off my shoulder like other bags.

I use this lens to carry:
1. Canon EOS 7D Camera
2. Canon EF 24-105mm L IS Zoom Lens
3. Canon EF 100 L IS Macro Lens
4. Canon EF 70-200 L IS II Zoom Lens
5. Canon EF 100-400 L IS Zoom Lens
6. Canon Speedlite 430 EXII Flash
7. LG T280 11.6 inch Laptop
8. Power adaptor for LG Laptop
9. 3 additional batteries for 7D
10. Two additional CF memory cards
I cannot belive how small this bag looks yet fits all the above gear, albeit a bit of a tight squeeze (due to the lens hoods) but cannot complain for its light weight and portability. I find no issues with spending a few extra seconds to get my gear out of the bag (I remove the lens hood first and then the lens) ... for portability and small price there just isn't a bag out there (at this price point) that can match the Lowepro D200 AW.

Comments about Lowepro Stealth Reporter D200AW Bag:
I bought this bag to hold all of the accessories for my Canon 7D. This bag is definitely strong and is very well built. The memory card pocket is a very nice included accessory.
All of my gear feels very secure while in the bag. The padding within and around makes me feel as if the bag were to be bumped or dropped that the contents inside would be safe.
The rain cover that comes attached is very nice and can be opened quickly to cover the bag.
As some of the other reviews pointed out, the top zipper is the only flaw with the bag. It is hard to get a DSLR with a lens attached out of the bag without a struggle. If you have a battery grip on your camera forget about using the top zipper. Opening the main compartment is not a big deal, just more of a convenience issue. I think this bag is a great for accessories, if you need quick access to your lenses or any other gear the top zipper is perfectly suited for that.
All in all this is a very well built bag, holds all of your gear with plenty of pockets. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the top zipper.

Comments about Lowepro Stealth Reporter D200AW Bag:
This is a bag made of quality materials. The zippers are nice and heavy duty and the material is durable enough to last for many years! It is a little smaller than I thought it would be, but I am able to fit my 7D, a point and shoot, flash and accessories. I agree the access through the top is awfully small, but useful if I have the camera out of the bag already.

As a professional wedding photographer I have a lot of gear that I need to have right at my side. Gear that will help ensure that I am prepared to capture that special "moment" at any time. Not only is the Stealth Reporter D200 bag perfect for that but it is also extremely comfortable. The wide, padded shoulder strap distributes the weight nicely over the shoulder and back. The waist strap keeps it stable, close to your body, and not swinging wildly around while you are trying to be discrete at a wedding. The easy access zipper on the top is great for a quick grab of the flash or whatever you may be looking for. Overall a great buy and best shoulder bag that I have owned yet.

I love this bag. It has plenty of pockets, and feels like it protects my gear very well. I love the little details (key hooks, memory card wallet, lined pocket for digital devices, accessory pouch, water resistant, lightweight, and the rain cover!
Only flaw is the top zipper. You can't really access your gear with it. I have a Nikon D90 with battery grip and the opening isn't quit big enough to comfortably retrieve it. I suppose a smaller camera or if you just used the bag for lenses and flashes it could work.

Comments about Lowepro Stealth Reporter D200AW Bag:
I was surprised on how much this bag can hold once you start filling it, especially if you organize it right. Very disappointed about the top zippered opening and not being able to even attempt pulling my Canon 50D with attached 28-135mm lens through it, but it could become handy when needing to just reach in for a lens or other small accessory. Also, not too crazy about the waist strap being way below my waist which is now useless to me. Zipped security for the front pockets would have been wise for your valuables that you'll be storing there. Overall, it is a great bag. I am able to fit my Canon 50D with attached lens, 2 additional lenses, flash, memory cards in wallet, extra battery pack and charger, filters, books, and other smaller accessories.

Great bag I love it! if your gonna buy I would recommend stepping it up from what you think you should buy. I have the Nikon d300s and it fits great with a fixed 35mm and one other 18-200 mm lens but If I add a flash and my gear bag its definitely too tight I would go with the D300AW at least. I chose the smaller bag for travel (airplane) and convenience...I kind wish I went with the 300 though. Overall very satisfied.

This bag can hold my Canon 50D with Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 lens, Canon 580EX II flash, Canon 50mm f1.4 lens , and Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens all with enough space for extras. The shoulder strap is well cushioned, and the hip strap is great for stability. The easy access zippered top opening is a bit small to pull my camera through. Smaller camera bodies like the XTi may work better. I wish it had a microfiber cloth to protect the LCD screen like the Rezo models. Great bag to store and transport your gear!

I use this bag for short day trips or as a carry on when i'm not taking a notebook computer someplace. It perfectly fits my camera, a few lenses, a flash, and a few other small accessories. Its got a few great straps to to keep you gear on you or at least close by. In addition its got a strap that allows you to secure the bag to your carry-on luggage.
This bag is exactly what i expected and i don't have anything negative to say about it. I would highly recommend this if you are in the market for a reporter style bag with with plenty of room for accessories.

Comments about Lowepro Stealth Reporter D200AW Bag:
Pros:
First of all, this bag can contain a D200 with a Sigma 70-300 on it and other 4 canon 70-200 f4 L and a nikon 50 1.4. And you still have two pockets for an SB600 and an LX3.
Second, the accessories includes a small bag and a CF card bag. I don't use them but if you put them away, you have a pretty big inter-layer for note pads, and maps, etc, which I find very convenient.
Third, there is a belt so you can bind the bag on your waist tightly. It helps to relieve the pressure on your shoulder a lot.
Fourth, there are other wonderful designs, such as the top zipper for fast lens change, the water shield, the extra thickened bottom.
Cons:
No accessories for tripod or monopod.
The lock in front is not very handy.
