The Crown XLS 202D is a-two channel stereo amplifier, offering 200 Watts per side at 8 Ohms, and housed in an exceptionally rugged 2 RU all-steel chassis.
The XLS 202D is notable for providing advanced protection circuitry, efficient forced-air fan cooling, and other enhancements normally associated with more expensive amplifiers, at a refreshingly moderate price point. This is trickle-down technology for the rest of us, from one of the premier amplifier manufacturers, and a worthy component of budget-conscious installations for conference rooms, houses of worship, clubs, theaters and lecture halls.

Comments about Crown Audio XLS 202D - Two-Channel Power Amplifier - 200 Watts per Channel at 8 Ohms:
The manual made it easy to set up, wiring was no problem. Sound is fantastic. The ultra high damping factor controls the sound tightly and with realistic, rich sounding results. The fan air flow can be heard if running with no input - but once the input is on and live, you can peel paint off the walls if you crank it up, and the fan's sound becomes a vague memory.
Love it!

Comments about Crown Audio XLS 202D - Two-Channel Power Amplifier - 200 Watts per Channel at 8 Ohms:
I recently purchased my second XLS 202D Amp. I also have a Nady high power Amp driving my 18" Subwoofers and I use the crowns to drive the 12's and 15's. The Crowns have a warm and robust sound with no perceptible distortion at the highest ranges. I have used Crowns for years and will attest to their reliability and ruggedness both in the studio and in the field.

Comments about Crown Audio XLS 202D - Two-Channel Power Amplifier - 200 Watts per Channel at 8 Ohms:
Awesome warm, clean, powerful sound. Somewhat cheap stamped metal appearance, and sparse on features (no low filters, crossovers, etc.), and 8 ohms minimum impedance in bridge mode can be inconvenient, but if you can live with these, it's a no-brainer. Get one!

Comments about Crown Audio XLS 202D - Two-Channel Power Amplifier - 200 Watts per Channel at 8 Ohms:
Using in Bridged/Mono for PV118 Subwoofer. I wasn't hip on the 1 manual covering all XLS models but, it turned out to be helpful for reading specs.
It runs a little loud. I suspect this is because I believe it uses a Class D amplifier. They run hotter & need constant fanning to keep cool.
The 3 year warranty is just plain impressive.
Remember to get Speakon connectors on one end at least!

This is my first Crown amplifier ever.
I have heard my friends boast about this brand quality.
It's all that and then some.
I crank the volume and this amplifier just keeps humming along.
I am very happy with this amplifier.

Comments about Crown Audio XLS 202D - Two-Channel Power Amplifier - 200 Watts per Channel at 8 Ohms:
I now have 2 of these amps in a church attic to power stage monitors. They are exposed to extreme temperatures in the summer months often 100 degrees plus. They are easy to connect and have amazingly simple quality. Crown is more money, but the reliability is worth every penny.
