An excellent purchase. I was nervous after reading some of the reviews here, but it performed wonderfully. The adjustments were excellent, and it VERY closely matches the color on my prints. I'm splitting hairs to find any differences. The entire thing, including prep, only took about 45 minutes. I will probably have it down to 30 the next time i run the calibration. But remember, this is matching to the accepted standard for color. I'm realizing just how warm I was editing the colors in my photos without calibration. That was my fault to begin with, calibration just showed me the error of my ways.
Problems Encountered: As has been stated before in other reviews, the literature is not great. But it's easy enough to figure it all out. If all else fails, just google the problem. I googled disable adobe gamma and it took me straight to that adobe help page.

This is a great tool and I don't know how I ever did Photo editing without it. You don't realize how lousy your monitors color is until you calibrate it. This make whites white, grays gray and blacks black. Not to mention that it really makes the colors look great when calibrated... Easy to install and very easy to use. Seems to be well built and I'm really glad that they made the cable on the dongle to reach well beyond the monitor. Highly recommended!!!

Extremely easy to use with excellent results. The Wizard guides you through each step of the way and Help is just a click away if needed. The Pro is well worth the time effort and money. I haven't run the PrintFIX PLUS as of yet but will give feedback after I do.
Problems Encountered: Hardest part is Turning off the Adobe Gamma, Virus protection and installing the disc in the proper drive. WOW that was hard. The instruction does state NOT TO MOVE THE COLORIMETER UNTIL TOLD TO. But have to inorder to adjust the Brightness, Contrast and the R,G,B settings. Didn't seem to effect the calibration. Just make sure that the window is clear before clicking the resample button.

We just purchased the Spyder2Pro after it was highly recommended. We use Dell workstations with dual monitors. After working out the quirks for about 4 hours, we tried the color correction that comes with the dual monitor video card (nVidia). It allowed us to calibrate dual monitors (Spyder2PRO only calibrates one, so dual monitors do not match), and actually looked better than using the Spyder2PRO. Plus it only takes about 5 minutes compared to 20 or more with the Spyder2PRO. The Spyder2PRO was a waste of money for us.
Problems Encountered: Monitors didn't match after calibration. Had to contact support due to undocumented issues. Website did not help.

Installs and works well on my CRTs, with the exception listed under problems. My two quite different monitors match exactly once warmed up. software interface better than many I've seen. Guides you through adjusting with the hardware monitor controls, which is tedious, but superior result to video card color management settings trying to run simultaneously with application color profile management.
Problems Encountered: Individual color profiles for dual monitors only works automatically in windows if you have two separate video cards. If you have one card with dual output then both monitors are set up to the same profile at boot. You can in fact create the second profile, and manually change the second monitor to the correct profile after windows is through boot, so it's workable. However it's annoying that this glitch is not mentioned in any of the advertising nor in the published product specifications. It is in a readme file on the installation disk whining that it's all Window's fault, but you get than only after you have purchased. And amazingly neither the product docs nor web site tell you how to do the work around. You just have to figure it out.
