Hybrid from Digidesign is a high-definition software synthesizer for use in Pro Tools systems, and combines the warmth of classic analog waveforms with digital wavetables, allowing for endless sonic possibilities.
Developed by the Digidesign Advanced Instrument Research group, the virtual instrument appears as a plug-in within a session and sports a straightforward interface. Patches can be constructed from two distinct parts, each of which features three sample-accurate oscillators with multiple wave modes, four envelope generators, three LFOs, twenty-three filter modes with true saturation and two insert effects.
A "step sequencer" for arpeggiation or phrase generation is included along with a modulation matrix to easily map modulations from sources to destinations. A full set of presets feature both analog and digital sounds and a large array of adjustable parameters provides musicians, arrangers, composers and sound designers the qualities and character of a unique hardware synthesizer.
Note! Requires iLok authorization.
