DF-7 Distortion Factory from DigiTech is a foot pedal that models seven popular stomp boxes. The unit also features three dual concentric tone controls allowing for customization of each model with High, Mid, Midrange and Low semi-parametric EQ.
The seven models include the Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer, EH Big Muff, Pro Co Rat, Boss DS-1 Distortion, Boss MT-2 Metal Zone, DigiTech Metal Master and the DOD Overdrive/Preamp 250. The rugged cast-metal chassis has a carbon-fiber looking exterior.
- Seven classic distortion stompbox models in a foot-pedal
- Dual outputs allow for connecting to either an amplifier or line input of a mixer
- Mixer output contains CIT bass-cabinet emulation technology
- Level Knob (Inside Knob 1)
- Controls the output level of the effect
- Low Knob (Outside Ring Knob 1)
- Controls the boost or cut of low frequencies
- Mid Frequency Knob (Inside Knob 2)
- Controls the boost or cut of high frequencies of each model
- Mid Knob (Outside Ring Knob 2)
- Controls each model's midrange frequency boost or cut
- Gain (Inside Knob 3)
- Controls each models distortion/overdrive gain except for the model based on the Big Muff model, where it acts as a sustain control
- High (Outside Ring Knob 3)
- Controls each model's high frequency boost or cut. For the TS-9, DS-1 and Big Muff models, this knob acts as a tone control. For the Rat model, this knob acts as a filter control
