Circle Surround TDM Pro 2.0 from SRS is a encoder/decoder plug-in for Digidesign Pro Tools HD systems that offers mixers the ability to encode surround music or cinema content in a 5.1-composite two channel format without leaving Pro Tools. The decoder provides monitoring of Circle Surround Cinema and Music decoding, as well as LCRS, stereo and mono playback.
The Xtract function in the decoder can take mono, stereo and legacy LCRS content and create a surround environment for delivery over any two-channel delivery system, such as stereo television, HDTV, HD and FM Radio, Redbook CDs and CD/DVD Dual Discs as well as AAC and MP3 files for download or streaming. Additionally the material can be enhanced at the mixing stage transforming it into Circle Surround or discrete 5.1.
Circle Surround encoding is also backward compatible with mono, stereo and any matrix surround decoder.
