I have been a V drum user for 15 years and I just upgraded to the TD-20X. I ordered the DVD to see what changes have been made since my old TD-10 was purchased. The DVD provided an excellent explanation of several of the features of the sound module. The set-up part at the begining would certainly be helpful for the complete neophyte. The bulk of the tape is narrated by an experieinced sound engineer who spends a good bit of time on basic sequencing with the TD20 as well as some basic MIDI interface information. I would have liked to have seen more hands-on drumming, but the narrator stated upfront that he was not much of a drummer. So if you are looking for a basic across the board into the features of the TD20, I would recommend this product.
