The 207D is an affordable, audiophile quality, dual channel tube microphone preamp that can power vintage condensers, ribbons, electrets and dynamic microphones. AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital outputs, with up to 96kHz sampling rates and Word Clock connection, offer direct digital connection throughout the signal chain.
The instrument inputs are quiet and have plenty of gain and the MicLim limiter circuitry from Aphex, makes the unit virtually crash proof, while making it a perfect front end for digital recorders. A pair of 1/4" TRS phone connectors provides insert points between the unit's front-end and tube output stage.
By combining the best traits of tube and solid state circuitry, the 207D captures a sound that is warm and full, whether for recording, mixing live, broadcasting or webcasting.
