Kramer VS30FW 3-Port FireWire-800 Repeater/Hub
The VS-30FW 3-Port FireWire-800 Repeater/Hub from Comprehensive / Kramer is a bi-directional hub and repeater that allows you to increase your available FireWire-800 ports while at the same time allowing you to double the maximum length of transmission from 14.75' (4.5 m) to 29.5' (9 m). The hub and repeater is a great option for anyone who needs to expand their computer's FireWire-800 capabilities or to increase the length between their computer and FireWire-800 peripheral device.
- Extended FireWire Range
- The repeater allows you to increase the maximum distance of FireWire-800 connections from 14.75' (4.5 m) to 29.5' (9 m). You'll even be able to cascade several repeaters together to achieve maximum ranges of up to 236' (72 m).
- FireWire-800 Hub
- The repeater also serves as a hub, allowing you to connect 2 devices to 1 FireWire-800 port on your computer. This is a great option for users who have more FireWire-800 devices than available ports.
- Spark-Guard Protection
- The repeater/hub includes Spark-Guard circuitry to protect your FireWire device and computer against electric charges that can damage them. This not only allows you to extend your range, but also protects your equipment at the same time.
