The Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 Digital Camera packs a powerful punch in a sleek, compact package. The EX-Z1000 has an effective 10.1 million pixels of resolution, captured on a large 1/1.8-inch format, high resolution CCD. With such super high-resolution images, you'll be able to reproduce crystal-clear images, even in very large sizes - perfect for printing or on-screen viewing of those priceless, once-in-a-lifetime shots. Add to this the Exilim Engine high-performance image processor, and the camera delivers highly expressive images and reproduces a wide tonal range. Though small enough to be held in the palm of the hand, the camera also incorporates an impressively large 2.8-inch, Wide and Bright LCD display. The Exilim EX-Z1000 Produces images with an incredible 10.1 Megapixels of resolution - you'll not only produce excellent quality photos, you can even make Poster sized enlargements and tightly crop images while still preserving the most beautiful moments and the smallest details.
Exclusive Exilim Engine
The Exilim Engine incorporates several components in a tiny space, works extremely quickly and saves energy. Thus it makes it possible to offers high resolution photos, high quality movies and a large number of functions in a camera that fits neatly in any pocket.
3x Optical Zoom Lens with Quick Zoom and Continuous Zoom
The high quality lens of the EX-Z1000 incorporates 7 lenses in 6 groups, including aspherical lens elements for crisp and clear images. The Quick Zoom instantly adjust the lens to a preset zoom position at the press of a button to get a tight shot as fast as possible. With continuous zoom shooting, you get two photos at the same time when you press the shutter release once - one complete image and a selected detail. The divided display not only enables you to view both images, but also makes it easier for you to select the detail of the image you require.
Anti Shake DSP
The Anti Shake DSP electronic image stabilizer of the EX-Z1000, which reduces the danger of blurred photos if the camera is not held steadily or the subject of your photo is moving.
Very Bright 2.8" Wide Screen TFT Color Display
The EX-Z1000 is equipped with an extremely bright and wide 2.8-inch Wide Screen TFT color display. It has a fine resolution of 230,400 pixels to provide for particularly brilliant presentation of your photos. In addition, the display is much brighter than average so you can easily view your photos - even in extremely strong sunlight. And so that you have the best view in every situation, the brightness adjusts to the respective lighting conditions if required. Using the Display Button, it is very easy to adjust the brightness and the format of the display in addition to other settings. You can also call up various pieces of information about the photo settings.
Three Photo Formats
You can choose between a 3:2, 4:3 and 16:9 format images. That is particularly practical if you will be showing your pictures on a screen, television or video projector. The 3:2 format is the classic format for photos, while the 4:3 format makes it easier to view images on the TV or on your PC. The 16:9 format is best suited to plasma and LCD-televisions that use the HDTV Format.
Rapid Flash
With the Rapid Flash function, three photos are taken with flash in the space of just one second, ensuring that you no longer miss those wonderful moments.
Highspeed Image Capture
If you keep the shutter release pressed, the EX-Z1000 takes a photo every 1.2 seconds, and the number of photos is only limited by the size of your memory card. The camera also has a burst function that can take 3 photos per second (3648 x 2736, Standard with flash off)
BestShot Scene Modes
Simply select the sample scene that resembles the type of image you are trying to record, and the camera is configured automatically with the applicable recording mode, Auto Focus setting, and more. All you need to do is press the shutter button for a perfect image.

      Just take your own photo - the superimposed frame helps you with the positioning. Now simply press the shutter release - finished! The camera automatically produces a finished image with ID photos in various standard sizes.
    • Movie BestShot
      The Movie BestShot modes provide you with useful pre-settings for various situations. The EXILIM Zoom EX-Z750 offers you various Movie BestShot scenes and an option for saving your own settings.
    • BestShot Art Shot
      Discover your artistic talent - with BestShot Art Shot modes. "Pastel" bathes every motif in a soft, light ambience, "Pop" provides full-surface shots in a comic look - and the "starburst filter" gives an extra shine to all the lights.
Time Stamp and Date Editor Function
The Time Stamp function enables you to give your photos a "time stamp" so that you can always see at first glance when you took the photo. The date editor function lets users easily adjust the date and time recorded with the image after the photo has been taken - great if the camera time was not set properly when you were shooting.
Movie Mode and Audio Record
Recording of a movie with sound can continue as long as there is memory available. A built-in speaker lets you check the audio as soon as you record it. Other audio features include audio snapshot (with audio recorded at the same time as the image or added later), and a Voice Recorder feature.
Button Customizer
Use the Button Customizer to assign one of five functions to the EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1000 cursor keys. Then you will have quick access to EV displacement, white balance, ISO setting, metering and self-timer.
Revive Shot
The Revive Shot-Function gives old album photos a new and long life in digital form. Simply photograph the pictures and with the help of the trapezoid compensation and the color restoration features, yellowed and faded colors are improved automatically.
Super Life Battery
Thanks to the latest technologies, the EX-Z1000 uses much less energy than earlier camera models> add the extremely powerful Super Life Battery that is included with the camera and the camera is always ready for use at that decisive moment and takes up to 360 shots non-stop (as per CIPA Standard).
In-Camera Image Adjustment (Re-Size / Trimming / Rotation)
With Re-Size/Trimming you can change the size of the picture already in the camera and sections of a picture can be saved as its own shot. In this way, you can for example cut out only the face of a person and have it printed as a photo without using a computer or complicated software. With picture rotating, pictures taken in a portrait format can be manually rotated for playback in landscape format. Now you don't have to turn the camera or your head in order to look at the picture.
USB Docking Station with Photo Stand Function
The USB docking station is a flexible solution for a range of functions - such as the USB 2.0 Full-Speed connection to a computer, photo printer or battery charge. Thanks to the AV-connection, you can connect your EX-Z1000 simply and easily to a television set and present both photos and movies in large format on the screen. The Photo Stand function lets you use your camera like a digital picture frame - you can run your saved pictures across the screen like a slide show.
Highspeed Image Scrolling Function
With the Highspeed Image Scrolling function you can scroll through ten shots a second and thus find the right one quickly.
Direct Print Capable
You can connect the EX-Z1000 directly to various printers and have your pictures in your hand shortly afterwards printed on photo paper. USB Direct Print is standard on most Epson printers and PictBridge lets you connects your camera to different manufacturers' printers.
