The Kona LSe 12-Bit PCIe Capture Card for Mac from AJA is an excellent choice for your SD capture needs for Mac. The card supports analog S-Video, component and composite video connections as well as standard definition SDI digital video connections. In addition to support for 12-bit uncompressed video, the card delivers broadcast-quality video capture and output. - KONA I/O Options
- The KONA LSe's analog interfaces are among the best in the industry. Using superb quality 12-bit video A/D and D/A converters, analog formats like BetaCam SP have never looked better. KONA LSe supports 8- and 10-bit uncompressed video, DV25 and DV50 using the DVCPRO codec and JPEG.
- Audio Features
- The card supports balanced analog, AES/EBU and embedded audio I/O all at 24-bits and 48 kHz. For simplified system integration, the KONA LSe also includes hardware sample-rate conversion for AES inputs. This helps to eliminate difficulties with synchronizing audio and video.
- KONA LSe Desktop
- Most Macintosh editing systems run multiple applications to create video projects. In addition to Final Cut Pro support, the KONA LSe Desktop feature allows broadcast design elements to be viewed in a proper aspect ratio and color depth on a broadcast monitor via the KONA LSe card. KONA Desktop supports Apple Motion, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Apple Shake and Discreet Combustion.
- Software Support
- QuickTime drivers that have been optimized for the KONA LSe by AJA are included with the card. Additionally, the KONA control panel simplifies A/V control and also supports a stand-alone mode.
