These VisibleDust DSLR Swabs - Orange Series are specially tailored for cleaning the delicate sensor in DSLR Cameras with a 1.3x sensor size range (20mm).
The Very soft DHAP fabric of the Orange Series swabs has traditionally been used for cleaning delicate surfaces such as telescopes and other scientific optics, and is ideal for critical cleaning. Due to its ultra softness, less pressure is applied to the sensor through the swabs while cleaning, thereby reducing the risk of squeezing or scrapping debris on the sensor, and the thin structure provides better edge to edge cleaning maneuverability. The orange series swabs work best with VDust Formula and good with Smear Away solutions, but are not compatible with the Sensor Clean Solution. Furthermore, the unique woven pattern of the DHAP fabric minimizes shedding of the swab while increasing absorbency.
The patented mini-channel paddle, with contour, provides an even saturation of the paddles surface while preventing pooling and vertical flow at the edge. This reduces streaks associated with traditional flat surface paddles. The mini-channels also provide an extra reservoir to absorb any excessive liquid thereby prolonging the moisture life of the swab during the cleaning process.

Comments about Visible Dust Swabs for 1.3x Sensor - Orange Series (12-Pack):
My digital cameras have been really, really good to me especially when it come to dust. Until recently there had been no dust problems the hurricane bulb couldn't handle.
Alas my luck ran out and the time had come to clean the sensor filter. I took the plunge and invested in a Visible Dust 7x loupe and some Visible Dust Orange sensor cleaning swabs. On hand materials consisted of an older Hurricane Jumbo air bulb and Eclipse Optic Cleaning Solution.
The lens was removed and the mirror was locked in the up position. The Sensor Loupe revealed a mess, dust and debris were everywhere, it was dirtier than I though. The next step was to use the Hurricane air bulb to blow out the dust. Sweat was forming on my forehead as this was a huge mistake. There was even more crud on the filter. Could it be the old Hurricane Jumbo was shedding material or was it stored incorrectly and was it simply dirty? A little voice inside my head said "put the bulb down and nobody gets hurt". So that's an investigation for another time. I sparingly applied some solution to the sensor swab and made a single nerve wrecking pass. Now it was even worse as the loupe revealed big ugly scratches and smears on the filter. By now sweat started to drip down my forehead, my baby was trashed. So was it time to give up and take it in for repair before it got any worse? Not! Since the sensor was ruined beyond repair I gave it another go. I applied some more solution and swabbed again. This time making two passes and would you believe it the sensor was almost spotless. A couple more passes and the loupe reveal that it was pristine. My baby's back ;-)
The loupe was invaluable in reducing the frustration of many photoshop dust tests and honestly saved the camera a trip to the repair shop.
The only caveat is that you have to have steady hands to perform the cleaning.
