This is a beneficial tool that helps you make quick edits with single keystrokes. Keyborad itself works great. I don't mind the cord but wireless would make it better. Overall it is helpful and provides programable keys which are handy.

First, I only deducted the final star due to the keyboard not being wireless and not being ergonomic (curved natural design). Other than that, I love it. While I'm still learning the layout of the keys (as they relate to the Sony Vegas software) it has already sped up my editing.

The incorporated jog/shuttle wheel is awesome. I was concerned about the placement on the keyboard when I placed my order but it is not in the way at all and is very comfortable to use. Having a jog/shuttle wheel onboard also saves me money by not having to buy an external one. The layout of the Vegas specific keys makes sense and I really enjoy the color grouping which makes it easier to locate keys since I'm still learning where they are.

The included keyboard light plugs into one of three ports in the top/side of the keyboard so you can have it placed on either side or the middle of the keyboard. One thing about the light; it's an amber color which is great for low light editing rooms but washes the color of the keys out. You can still see a little difference in color, especially from dark blue to yellow but pink to yellow or orange keys don't look that different under this light. Also, the light is a goose neck bendable design which is great for putting it exactly where you want it.

The wrist support is pretty good but I would have liked it if they had added a little texture to it to create less slip when I actually rest my wrists on it. Some small amount of padding would have been nice too. Still, it's not bad.

I love being able to advance one frame or pixel and moving between tracks with the pink "number" keys on the right side of the board. The F1 "help" key is very useful. Pause, Play and Fast Forward or Fast Rewind are essential keys and are going to really speed up my editing. Mark In and Mark Out, Trim Start and Trim End keys are well placed as well as Loop, Effects, Solo and Mute. There are more functions but it would take up too much room to talk about them all.

The keyboard itself is a quality construction and seems like it will last. The keys are a little stiff but I would rather have them be stiff at first and maybe wear them in a little than to have them be loose and get downright sloppy. Also, it lets me rest a finger on a key before pressing it without worrying that I might accidently press it before I want to.

Having two USB ports near the power ports at the top/side of the keyboard will come in handy when plugging in devices to import files without having to plug them into the computer case. I have plenty of USB ports on the case but I don't always want to have to run a cable under the desk to it. I have ports on the front and back of the case but sometimes I get lazy. LOL.

Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone who will be spending time editing. Having this keyboard makes editing fun and I can get out product faster. Productivity is great and I get to release more videos and make more money. You can't ask for more than that.
