The Datavideo TLM-700 7" LCD Monitor is an external color monitor, used with portable cameras rack systems where enhanced monitoring is necessary. The unit comes fully equipped with an added sunshade, making it a perfect solution for both the field and the studio. Features such as NSTC/PAL auto-detection and 16:9/4:3 make the TLM-700 an amazing monitor for the price.
- Automatic NTSC or PAL Recognition
- The TLM-700 accepts both NTSC and PAL standard signals. Conveniently, the monitor automatically detects which standard it is being fed without having to push a button, flip a switch or access a menu option.
- Multiple Inputs
- The TLM-700 can handle two video signals. Switching between couldn't be easier with a convenient toggle switch located right below the LCD.
- Picture Adjustments
- The TLM-700 has front panel picture adjustments for color, contrast, tint, and brightness for added control. The control dials are recessed to avoid unintended manipulation.

I use the product on a night in/night out basis for live sports broadcast production. While I probably wouldn't set video levels with it, the picture is accurate with concerns to aspect, and the colors are good. Contrast and brightness controls make it usable in in daylight, although I'd still recommend using a shade or hood in daylight environments.
The durability is equal, if not better than more expensive Marshall products. I have (and will continue to) recommend this product to anyone looking for a REFERENCE monitor. I have been using this product now for nearly 3 years.
My only suggestion for Datavideo would be that they should use more rugged components within the power supply.
