I use these binoculars for birding, hunting for wildflowers, wildlife, tide pooling, star gazing and travel. I needed them to be water proof for use out in nature and I needed close focus for tide pooling. The loss of wide angle vision that most birder's want was minimum and the close-up focus ability more than made up the difference. I also wanted a lot of light and these provided me with it. I did not want a large heavy piece and these were a lighter weight than normal!

I am very happy with these binoculars, crystal clear and good color rendition. They are of a lighter weight than similarly sized binocs and have a great feal to them, great with eye glasses too. I would recommend this product to anyone.
