I teach a course in the history of Illustrations, and this is a perfect tool for teaching about printing techniques. The Loupes are easy to use: students can put them directly onto documents and images without hurting them, they allow in plenty of light, and the acrylic is non-marking. And because the focal length is built in, students find them intuitive. The price was also very attractive to my department.

I use the loupe for sorting 35mm transparencies, just checking spots for sharpness, etc. The price is right and the clarity is OK at the center, with considerable distortion radiating from there. I have used a linen tester magnifier which has little distortion, but sharp corners on that with a careless hand might scratch the slide. The plastic of the Craft Loupe seems quite safe for that use.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received the loupe. It is large and well made. It is made so that there is plenty of light to see the target area. The focus is very good in the center of the viewing area but falls off toward the edges (4 stars instead of 5). It works well for viewing photos as well as any other object that you want to view close up. It is a fantastic value for the money. I am completely satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend its purchase to a friend.

I needed an inexpensive loupe for checking press proofs, etc... and the LL-10 fits the bill perfectly. The view is clear and sharp, and has the added bonus of a removable top to access the two (plastic) lens elements for easy cleaning.

10x magnification let you see and "discover" things that were always there, but too small for the naked eye. Bought this product to classify my 8mm silent videos, before I transfer them into digital form. Great for coin, stamp and insect collectors as well.

Carson makes good loupes, they are super affordable and well made. This one is great for getting a close look at 120 negatives or 35mm. The 10x magnification gets you a very close look for proper focus etc. This loupe also has places to attach a string which makes it perfect for fine focusing on a large format view camera as well (on the ground glass).

This Loupe is absolutely perfect for reviewing contact sheets. I originally used a jeweler's loupe but that became tiring as I could not place it down on my print, and enough light wouldn't reach the print either. This design allows for maximum light, and the optics are great. It also feels very solid and won't break anytime in the near future. It's already gone through a lot of abuse and looks as if I just took it out of the box today!
