TL Drum Rehab from Digidesign is an RTAS plug-in that offers a comprehensive set of tools to enhance or replace original drum recordings precisely, automatically and in real time. Whether the need is to energize a weak snare track, replace a kick drum that sounds more like a cardboard box, or simply exchange one sound for another, TL Drum Rehab will perform the operation with speed and accuracy.

The software works by analyzing the targeted track, adding trigger points and calculating velocity levels for each hit. Up to sixteen different replacement samples can be loaded for each track and the samples assigned to different velocity zones. The track is revitalized in real-time and the user has the option of mixing the new sounds with the original tracks or completely replacing the initial recording.

TL Drum Rehab also offers advanced options to control the sound of the final drum track. Position control allows for incorporating two sticking positions. Or, free or choked voicing can be selected for different types of drums and the attack, sustain and EQ can be adjusted for shaping replacement drum samples.
