You just slip what looks like a white baby sock over the flash head, and Volià - you are ready to shoot. This week I had the chance to use this diffuser for the first time when shooting the rehearsal of a musical - both on and off stage.
For flash shots with my external speed light in very mixed and difficult light I found that the little non-intrusive diffuser worked wonders.
The diffuser is of course not as effective in spreading much light further away as a Gary Fong Cloud diffuser, but for the price and great effect I was impressed how much difference this tiny gadget did to my flash pictures way up close to the performers.
It was no time or chance to use tripod, reflectors or fancy lights, as I had to slip in and out between the performers.
The best thing with this universal diffuser is probably that it doesn't make the photographer look like a walking Christmas tree - by attracting unwanted attention. My thumbs up for this Universal diffuser!

I bought this because of limited funds, but I guess you get what you pay for. I did some test shots, and the diffuser reduced the light's brightness too much. I am not a professional, but the light I was getting from this item was not satisfactory to me. Also, the elastic band is WAY too tight and quite a workout to get on the flash head.

Comments about Dot Line Universal Bounce Diffuser:
This diffuser worked out better than I'd expected. I really like the fact that it fits in my pocket better than the hard plastic type. Folds up nice and flat. It would also fit just about any flash. The only minor issue is with flashes like mine with a tapered head, the diffuser can slide off if you're not careful.

I use this to soften flash lighting in portraiture, It also comes in handy when creating interesting lighting effects on my nightly adventures into the woods when used with a wireless flash mount separate from the camera. This was a good buy and cheap solution for a portable light box.

I am using this diffuser with Vivitar pro-648 which has a very fragile diffuser, it is basically unusable. This one works great, I'd recommend it without hesitations

This is a GREAT little gem I found! It's beautifully flexible, fits on virtually any flash, even those with swivel and bounce! This thing folds flat - doesn't take up any room in your camera bag. Get one, you won't regret it!

I've only done a few test shots with this flash diffuser, but it appears to work well. One drawback is that the elastic band is a little tight, so it is a bit of a struggle to pull the diffuser onto my flash (Bower).

Nice end use results, but the design of it is a bit of a bother. No easy off and on and also the elastic band prevents the P20 flash from sitting at 90 degrees. Due to the hassle of trying to get this thing on the flash, I tend to just leave it on all the time.

I wanted to use this over a bounce flash and perhaps a stationary flash. I had to send it back. It didn't allow the flash controls to be operated nor the sensor on the flash to operate.

Comments about Dot Line Universal Bounce Diffuser:
It works and for the money, not bad. I would prefer the plastic one that fits the specific flash like you get with a Cannon flash unit.
Nothing wrong with the product. The product works as advertised, I just would have spent more money for a diffuser that specifically worked with my flash unit.

i use this on my flash in almost all cases, and it works pretty good. I would recommend it, but it isnt the best diffuser out there by any means.

Camera equipment can be costly, tricky to use, and bulky. None of which apply to this little doohickey, which offers great value for money, light weight (and is easily compressed), and is beyond simple to use.
It does nothing more nor less than what it says on the box, does it well, and doesn't offer up any excuses or broken promises.
Only one thing kept me from giving this 5 stars, and that is that the elastic collar is rather looser than I would like, although it has yet to actually slip off during use.
