Nikon EN-EL4a Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (11.1v 2500mAh)
The high-capacity Nikon EN-EL4a Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery works for the Nikon D2H, D2Hs, D2X, D2Xs, D3, D3s and D3X digital cameras. It can also be combined with the optional BL-3 battery chamber to be used with the MB-D10 grip for the D300, D300s, and D700 cameras. It features Lithium technology, which ensures maximum battery life and maximum power. It also features No Memory Effect so you can recharge partially drained batteries without reducing performance.

This battery will last a very long time. With heavy use, it will last a week or sometimes more. If it's sitting in my bag or with light use it can go 4-5 weeks without having to be charged. The battery charges quickly. I highly recommend this battery although the price tag is high, you will be thoroughly satisfied with this battery. I have two Nikon D3 bodies and have a total of only 3 batteries between the two, because this battery is so great. Be warned that the battery does not come with the battery chamber cover (Nikon BL-4 Battery Chamber Cover for Nikon D3). You will need to order that separately if you do not already have one. The battery chamber cover from my EN-EL4 battery that I used with my Nikon D2H will not fit on my D3 body. The good thing about the cover being separate is that if your camera takes a fall and cracks the battery chamber cover, you just need to replace the cover, not the whole battery.

I use it in the mb-d10 and it is amazing. Really boots the frame rate up, and the amount of shoots per charge. I was using AA is the grip and was glad to switch to this battery. Charges quick and last a long time.

I shoot a lot of sporting events and use my D700's continuous shooting mode but only loaded with eight AA batteries. It works but doesn't last very long. This battery is strong with lasting power. Glad I finally broke down and spent the money on one with the charger. Now I want another for back-up. Oh, don't forget to also order one BL-3 for the MB-D10.

This battery lasts and lasts and is the only way to go for 8pfs on your D700 of D300. Case in point: I recently had to shoot a whole day of YAFL football - I was able to use this battery for 12.5 hrs straight (with no image review) and i wound up taking 4500 pictures with about 5% of the battery life still available. Amazing!

This Nikon battery is the workhorse of my D3s. I have had my camera for over a year and a half, I use it every day and this is the first replacement battery I have had to purchase.
