Comments about Smith-Victor K84 4 Photo Flood Kit (120V):
I am just starting out in photography and I didn't want to spend a Tom of money right off the bay with all the accessories needed to go along with taking studio photos. I am a graphic designer and wanted to start taking my own stock photos rather than searching around for the perfect angle or the perfect picture. This lighting kit has been great for that. For the price it is well worth it. It puts out plenty of light and gives you many options for lighting configurations. It might not be the best for the pros. But being that I'm not a pro yet, I can't tell cause it has done exactly what I need it to do and everything fits perfect in the carrying case and then some which is awesome for some video shoots I have been on.

Comments about Smith-Victor K84 4 Photo Flood Kit (120V):
This combination is perfect for the videographer on the go. The four lights and tripod mounts offer flexibility for any environment.
The travel case is a nice touch. Keep in mind that it fits the included items snugly so there is little room for any additional gear. The case's handle is molded into the side, rather than telescoping.
Overall this is a nice kit and a value for the price.
Comments about Smith-Victor K84 4 Photo Flood Kit (120V):
I am very pleased with this light kit. I needed somethingcheap that I wouldn't have to worry about breaking orlosing, and this is just right. The fixtures are robust. The light output is impressive, but the lights vent well(not too hot). And everything fits nicely into the providedbox. For the price, this is a great starter kit that givesyou lots of options for lighting arrangements.
Problems Encountered: The kit as a whole is heavy (40 lbs.). The boom arm createsa lot of instability when fully extended (needs to bebaby-sat if there are people around).
Items I Recommend: various gels, power strips & extension cords, sandbags or weights (like ankle weights), extra bulbs
