Comments about Sony HVL-F36AM Digital Camera Flash:
This flash provides so much more than the standard, flip-up flash built into my A100. Although I haven't taken advantage of all it's features yet, it seems like it should serve it's purpose for years to come.

Comments about Sony HVL-F36AM Digital Camera Flash:
This is a well built unit, uses AA batteries-not proprietary ones, and does more than sit atop your camera. The flash is largely automatic, taking strength and other settings from the camera. It does have manual capabilities though I probably won't use them. The control panel has indicator lights to warn/check your settings. An undescribed bonus to me, is the ability to use it as a slave flash complete with an included stand (legs) so it can be placed to provide interesting lighting effects.

Comments about Sony HVL-F36AM Digital Camera Flash:
I am new to digital photography and enjoy the ease of use of the F36AM.
I was immediately abe to produce more creative shots. I really love the wireless feature, and was pleasently surprised to find it on such an economical model. Good job Sony on providing a flash with professional features, but with an entry level price. -kh

This flash made adjusting from 35mm film photograph to digital easier. The flash syncs
are different with film and digital. It made flash photograph much simpler.

Comments about Sony HVL-F36AM Digital Camera Flash:
This is a nice flash to use if you need more power than the on board flash, around twice the power. recycle time is fairly fast with rechargeable batteries. Really neat feature is the wireless off camera use. Very easy to use not really complex with a fast learning curve
Down sides are: no swivel head, funky Minolta/SONY shoe mount is a bit slower to get on and off camera. battery door is a bit "different"
