The SE-500KIT Video Mixer Kit from Datavideo is four-input analog switcher with quad-split preview. The LCD monitor rack includes red, yellow, and green tally lights to indicate program, preview, and other sources, as well as next selected effect. The operator can use one monitor to observe all sources and the other monitor to select video effects before broadcast.
It also includes a small audio mixer with (2) line-level unbalanced inputs and (2) microphone inputs. The front panel additionally features a headphone jack and volume control. Remote control units include both MIDI and RS-232, allowing you to manage the system with a keyboard or computer.
Datavideo SE-500 4-Channel Analog SD Video Switcher
Compact and lightweight, the Datavideo SE-500 4-Channel Analog SD Video Switcher features composite and S-Video inputs and outputs for switching live events at houses of worship, conventions, educational institutions, small studios, and other venues. The four inputs can accept composite signals via BNC connectors and S-Video via mini-DIN connectors. Two program output sections each have composite and S-Video options as well. For previewing all four video feeds, an onboard multiplexer sends all four outputs to a single monitor over a composite video feed. Using both the S-Video and composite outputs, a single high-quality component video stream can be sent to a compatible DVD or memory recorder. Digital sources can also be connected to the SE-500 using separately available converter boxes.
Up to four channels of audio can be input via one set of stereo RCA connectors and two unbalanced 1/4" jacks. Using the onboard faders and audio meters, the sound can be mixed and properly balanced to fit your program. Balanced audio sources will require a separately available impedance switching device in order to ensure proper operation.
Once set up, use the T-bar and illuminated selection buttons to switch and apply effects to your video signals. Some built-in transitions include dissolves, fades, and wipes. The SE-500 can also be controlled via RS-232 (DIN-15 connector) and MIDI. Essential effects such as picture-in-picture (PiP), color processing, and split-screen are also integrated into the SE-500. To keep things simple, all inputs are internally synced by a 4-channel 4:2:2 time base corrector (TBC), so no genlock or external syncing is required for achieving smooth transitions.

The Datavideo TLM-702 7" LCD Monitor Rack is comprised of two 7" LCDs in one rack-mount panel. The unit is NTSC and PAL compatible and has a BNC composite video input and output for each monitor. Features such as NSTC/PAL auto-detection and 16:9/4:3 make the TLM-702 a capable solution.
Works With Other Datavideo Products
Datavideo makes a rack-type cradle for the TLM-702 to be mounted with their SE-500 switcher.
The dual-monitor panel has a 3-color tally light system to indicate different program statuses. The Tally connector is on the unit's back panel and is a standard 15-pin type.
The TLM-702 has front panel picture adjustments for color, contrast, tint, and brightness for added control. The control dials are recessed to avoid unintended manipulation.
