The 50mm f/1.4 Alpha A-Mount Standard Prime Lens is an ultra-bright f/1.4 aperture standard 50mm lens for fast, accurate shooting with available light. This lens provides superb clarity and visual accuracy when working in low-light conditions indoors or outdoors.
Mounted on cropped APS-C sized cameras, this lens provides a higher 75mm focal length (35mm equivalent), and takes advantage of the in-camera Super SteadyShot image stabilization system to minimize blur from shaky hands.
- Aperture Range: f/1.4-22
- With a maximum aperture of f/1.4 and minimum of f/22, this lens' high speed means you can capture images in darker conditions using faster shutter speeds and lower ISO sensitivity.
- For Alpha & Minolta Maxxum Series
- Optimized for Sony Alpha & Minolta Maxxum DSLR cameras, this lens becomes the 35mm equivalent of a 75mm lens when attached to smaller cropped APS-C cameras.
- 7x Circular Aperture Blades
- Circular aperture blades produce smooth, rounded bokeh background effects when capturing spot-light sources in your pictures. Because the aperture blades form a near circle at the wide openings used for low-light shots, spot-light sources have a pleasing circular defocused effect.
- Filter Diameter: 55mm
- The 55mm from filter thread does not rotate, allowing rotating polarizing filters to be used.
