THE MOST LUXURIOUS PAPER ON THE COMMERCIAL MARKET. I USE IT FOR BLACK AND WHITE LANDSCAPE WORK. THIS IS MY GO TO PAPER FOR SELLING MY PRINTS IN GALLERIES OR TO COLLECTORS. DEEP BLACKS. CLEAN WHITES. NO METAMERISM. THICK AND SOFT (NOT TOO SOFT) BASE AND SMOOTH BARYTA TYPE TOP LAYER. ONLY CONS I CAN THINK OF IS THE GLOSS IS NOT SEMI-GLOSS BUT NOT GLOSSY GLOSS. SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE. ALSO, THE PAPER CULRS A WEE TOO MUCH IN THE LARGER SHEETS (13X19). PROBLEM CAN BE SOLVED BY LETTING A WEIGHT REST ON THE PAPER OVERNIGHT.

Archival?
It seems kinda odd that the paper fluoresces when lit with a black-light. Makes one think that the paper contains optical brighteners. So why is it marketed as an O.B. free archival paper?

Comments about Museo Silver Rag Paper - 13x19" - 25 Sheets:
Museo Silver Rag along with Harmon by Hahnemuhle Gloss Baryta and Epson Exhibition are my papers of choice. It's all about the subtle surface and, for me, how blacks, whites and silvers are rendered. Excellent for exhibition purposes, though costly for everyday, run of the mill digital printing.

Serious Amateur, use for printing most of my B&W images. Excellent tone, sturdy, a little warm tone which I prefer.

Simply the best balance of surface quality verses rag feel of any paper on the market--with outstanding archival qualities. Each sheet of rag is separated by a spacer sheet in the box to make sure that the surface quality is perfect. It is this attention to detail that is unique in the industry, and it really does add up to better paper, better prints, better archival life. This is the paper for artists, not engineers.

Comments about Museo Silver Rag Paper - 13x19" - 25 Sheets:
Museo Silver Rag is a bright white rag paper without optical brighteners, and carries a smooth semi-gloss or 'lustre' finish. It is a wonderful compromise between the 'ivory' of portfolio rag papers and artificially brightened paper, the 'pop' of true gloss paper and the flat surface of matte papers.

Museo Silver Rag may cost more than Epson papers, but you get what you pay for with this paper. Truely in a class of its own. Thick and luxurious with deep blacks and brilliant colors it delivers as close to a photographic print as possible. I use Epson Ultrachrome printers and ink.

Printing photos for exhibition on Epson 4000 printer.
It is a very nice paper and so far, trouble free. Printed it through Lightroom using Museo's ICC profiles for this paper and got
pictures identical to what was on my monitor. Is it the ultimate paper? - don't know, haven't compared it with other high end papers - stayed with it because the prints look good and it was relatively easy to handle.

Crane makes great paper, and Silver Rag is one of my all time favorites. It has an interesting texture and a semi-glossy finish. The weight is perfect and it has a very rich appearance and feel.
