I was really surprised at how good this system is. I have always had big speakers in my systems, but was looking for something different for our main living area. Smaller being better in this case. However, I did not want to compromise on sound. This Bose system has met all of my expectations. The quality and clarity of the sound is amazing. and bass response is superb. I have always had large subwoofers and was a little worried about bass response. The Acoustimass module does an excellent job. It provides the sound that I look for in a surround sound system.
The only down side is the amount of wires running to and from the Acoustimas module and the size of the module itself. My subwoofer was placed behind an end table and chair in the corner of my room. The amount of wires associated with the Acoustimas module prohibited this sort of placement. I ended up having to place it fairly close to my media cabinet.
I can see myself purchasing a second system for my downstairs media room when it is finished. My son is now enjoying the old system.

I just bought this system to go with my 3dtv. The system was very, very easy to set up. Now, the tv room feels more like a movie theater. The sound is excellent!!! I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you Bose.

Sounds great, like all Bose speakers.
All cables are color coded, so it's pretty hard to make a mistake in the setup. Speaker cables are more long enough for the largest of rooms.

Finally bought this system for our computer room after procrastinating for years.
Now that is installed it was worth the wait, the build and sound quality is excellent, it genuinely fills the room with crysal clear sound without an impossing size.

I have this system connected to an Onkyo TX-SR608 and it has relatively good sound from small satellite speakers. However the lowrange sound on this system is very weak specially at lower volumes. For the value there are other better speakers out there, but for it's size it is pretty good.

Don`t be fooled by these tiny speakers! They will fill your room with great quality crystal clear sound. If you live in an apartment or have an average size room these guys are awesome. Very easy to set up but you will have to get creative with the wire concealment. They make watching movies and live music a real experience. Get a good receiver to make the most of it.

I use these speakers along with a Denon a/v receiver and a 46" Samsung LCD TV. It works like a charm. Setup was relatively easy. We saw a coupla movies already and the overall effect is great. I should admit that I've not tested the limits of these speakers yet. The subwoofer is pretty intimidating (size wise). With the subwoofers powered now, the effect is amazing. The only problem being that the whole house is filled with wires. Bose can provide some simple wire management system, maybe.

Ofcourse, I am not by any stretch a pro - so, audio video experts, look away from this review.

I only gave it 4 stars due to high pricing from Bose. Some of the best sound I've ever heard from satellites this small. These small, stylish speaker filled a 25 by 25 foot room with well balanced sound. The frequency range in the satellites were good, especially the rear. The sub had a decent kick. I installed this system using the Bose SL@ Wireless Sound Link for the rear speaker set and I was very impressed with the sound quality and the receiver distance. I'd recommend these speakers to anyone wanting big sound out of small and stylish speakers.

Set up a 5.1 sound system with these speakers, sounds very nice. The direct/reflecting tiny speakers sound much bigger than they are. Watched the Fugitive as the first movie, the train wreck scene was awesome, sounded like the train was coming through the walls.
