Comments about FM Photography Shutter Hat Camera Cover:
The shutter hat is a great camera cover for getting those shots you wouldn't attempt in a light rain. It covers from my lens hood back and is wide enough to cover past my wrists to keep my hands from getting wet. The flash/view finder flap works perfect on my D90. The material used dries quickly and it comes with a nice pouch that clips right on the side of my camera bag. [...]

Easy to carry, cheap insurance just in case you need something in a pinch. velcro allows adjustment. Wouldn't want to try it in a downpour, but maybe that's just me.

Wish I'd had it a couple of weeks ago at the beach when it was raining. It does what it's supposed to do. Covers the camera and the 70-200. Don't see this woking in a downpour, but then I don't see me working in a downpour. It's designed to keep the camera dry in light stuff and it'll do that nicely.

Comments about FM Photography Shutter Hat Camera Cover:
The shutter has is both affordable and versatile. I'm shooting a football documentary on Canon DSLRs and after a scare early in the season learned my lesson about being prepared for light rain. This isn't the perfect solution for short lenses or even long lenses without a lens hood but once I added lens hoods to my lenses the shutter hat provided perfect coverage of my camera and lens while still letting me access the viewfinder or LCD and the focus and zoom. The hotshot access via the top flap also allowed a professional external mic to be mounted as well making this the perfect solution for DSLRS video in the rain or snow. Will also be perfect for my photography work outdoors as well.

Does as advertised and protects my Canon 30D from light rain. I would not feel comfortable using this item in a downpour due to its somewhat cheap design. For the price this is perfect.

I used the product to protect my camera from the spray at Victoria Falls in Zambia. It was easy to carry, fairly easy to attach, covered the camera well and kept it dry. It was a little tricky to get used to shooting with it on, but it was still worthwhile. It's easy to pack and carry, and not expensive.

Nice small package to keep in the camera bag at all times so it's there when you need it. I've only used it in light rain and mist (when it pours I put the camera away and hike for cover) but it keeps camera (pro dslr) and lens dry. Easy to shoot with it on. Good product.

Comments about FM Photography Shutter Hat Camera Cover:
As an enthusiast/soccer & football mom, I shoot in every kind of weather. I never know what the weather will be from event to event, so this is a staple in my camera bag.
The Shutterhat provides excellent rain protection and is easy to use. I've recommended it to other enthusiasts who have found themselves caught in inclement weather with no protection for their cameras.
The single complaint I have is that it sometimes slips forward when using shorter lenses, covering all or part of the lens. Sometimes even tightening the velcro around the lens doesn't prevent this.
However, had it not been for this product, I would not have been able to commemorate the celebration of my daughter's senior team mates when they won their second straight district soccer title in a spring time Texas Gulf Coast deluge. There is simply no substitute for having been able to capture their unmitigated joy!

I keep this in my bag always! It's excellent for wet weather, unexpected damp places, and even in windy conditions where dust or sand is a problem. I recently used it in the Rocky Mountains when late afternoon sun was hitting at an angle that was preventing me from seeing through the viewfinder. I put the back of the cover over my head and could see perfectly.

Haven't tested this in the rain yet. It fits my Canon XSi and seems to cover it well. Refolds into a very nice small package.

Comments about FM Photography Shutter Hat Camera Cover:
Shutter Hat does two things. 1) It protects your investment. 2) It lets you shoot in situation you were afraid to before. Some of my best photographs were taken in "bad" weather.
It's expensive, but the thought behind it and the microfiber cloth make it an OK value.

Comments about FM Photography Shutter Hat Camera Cover:
Have used various rain covers and this one just feels more comfortable than most. The use of the hot shoe for an anchor and using very small weights in the corners to hold the cover in position shows a thought out design, there are many other features that are equally impressive. When you are using a 70-200 Zoom the cover gets a little tight but functions well, I'm assuming this is as large a lens as you might care to use.
