Bought this for my little Panasonic Lumix and it's very helpful when you don't have a viewfinder. It's not perfect, doesn't solve the whole problem, but it helps a great deal with the glare.

Applies to the LCD easily. As expected, needs to be removed carefully. Leaves minimal residue. Sticks well. Plastic seems to have been improved. Easy to open, still you should be carful when removing the spring loaded cover. Very nice.

the screen is protected from bumps as you handle the camera. When the shade is popped open, it gives a shaded view which is very useful in bright sun. This purchase is to replace one that slid off in a crowded area and I was unable to find it. After using it for at least two years I am very satisfied with it.

It did make the LCD screen a little easier to view in bright sun, but after only 3 days of use the pop up shade cover broke off. We were away on a trip at the time, so unable to return it.

the first time I used it, it fell off my camera. I haven't had the time to see if I can reattach it Other than that it works great.

good for use outdoors - BUT the insides of the shade are shiny and should be matte - also the protective clear lcd cover is glossy and should be non reflectivei use it because there is no other similar alternativealso the four little attachment pins are weak in my opinion and have a tendancy to breakdon't expect miracles for[$]

Installed on an Olympus Stylus 750 "point & shoot" camera. Did not significantly improve visualizing image on LCD screen with direct sunlight behind you.

I purchased Fuji camera but was having a dificult time with daylight glare. The pop-up shade has made the camera usable in daylight conditions. It seems to be very durable, attached easily to the camera, provides added protection for the LED and added little weight or thickness to the camera. To bad they don't include one with the camera.

I HAVE GIVEN MY REVIEW FOR THE 3.0 MODEL. THIS 2.5 IS THE SAME QUALITY. I GIVE IT 10 STARS AS WELL. I WOULD NOT BE WITH OUT ONE.

One of several digital cameras I own has no optical viewfinder. The LCD screen washes out in bright light and this little shade helps tremendously.

I do a lot of hiking, mountain climbing, and other outdoor activities. Adding this pop-up-shade to my super-zoom all-in-one not only made seeing the LCD in bright sunlight much easier, it also serves as a protective cover that stops my LCD from getting scratched.

The pop-up shade is easy to install, easy to remove when a cover would just get in the way, protects the camera's LCD screen and makes it easy to see in bright sunlight.

It's biggest weakness are the four little plastic tabs that hold the shade to its mounting ring on the LCD. They are kinda flimsy, and broke off after a year of so of heavy use. I like the shade enough that buy a replacement.

The mini pop-up shade for 2.5" was very easy to install. It works well.

We had to modify the dock where the camera is recharged but that wasn't hard to do.

Would recommend this product & am intending on buying a 2" pop-up shade for my other Kodak camera.

I use the LCD screen most of the time when shooting outside so the sun shade is invaluable. Plus it protects the screen surface from damage and the shade quickly detaches as needed.

The LCD protector sticks onto the LCD of a camera with a 2.5" display. The glue seems strong enough to hold the cover even in hot weather. The cover is reasonably effective in bright sunlight too.

I had an older clip on version which I managed to break after 18months of hard use and prefer the clip-on approach to glue on. Time will tell if the cover is as removeable as Delkin claim.

This shade has a great comfort factor for me. The door covers the entire LCD screen. Plastic overlay protectors may protect the screen from scratches but not for anything else. It's also nice to have the shade for daytime viewing.

The only thing that is a hassle is having to open the door every time you want to review a picture. You can't have the door open and make a shot since the door keeps your eye away from the viewfinder.

No matter what the lighting is, with the pop-up shade I can see what I'm photographing. The "Pop-up" feature is very easy to operate: opens with
a flick of the finger and closes just as easily.
Moreover, when it's closed, your LCD sceen is completely protected. No need for adhesive screen protectors.
