Delkin Devices eFilm Point & Shoot Mini Pop-Up Shade for 3" LCD Display (Black)
Delkin Pop-Up Shades are LCD screen protective covers, which double as glare guards. These sturdy, lightweight covers are easily installed (and removed), protect a digital camera's expensive LCD screen in the closed position, and pop up to provide easier viewing of the display in bright sunlight.
The Point & Shoot Mini features a no residue adhesive that will not damage the camera if removed, and an optical clear plastic to protect your camera's screen. The simple pop-up design allows for easy opening to block the glare. The two-part design enables easy removal of the shade while keeping the optical clear plastic in place for protection.

This is a very simple solution to the problem of glare on LCD screens
In bright light this can almost be impossible to overcome, and this simple pop up solves the problem. I used it on my Panasonic TZ10 and found it amazing.
Easy to attach, it can slide off if needs be, and It folds down to maintain the compact profile of the camera, allowing it to fit right back into your pocket.
A simple and very effective solution. It has made my camera even more useable.

As an elderly photographer, I like live view, but realise the problems in bright sunlight, particularly here on the South African Highveld. The Delkin hood fits my Olympus Pen's rear 4/3 monitor with a slight overlap at the top and bottom totalling less than 1mm. The frame obscures the control button symbols, but I have no problem with this. The hood springs open and works well. The construction seems rather flimsy and only time will tell how well it will last. The hood slides sideways to detach it when you need to. At the price, I am well satisfied.

when its Sunny this is a real saver the screen blocks light 3 sides and shades the LCD Monitor so you can see your photo results the pop up also works well as Protection for your lcd screen this alone is worth the few dollars that it cost Yes it has a type of adheasive that holds the shade to the LCD Frame but not to worry it peals off without a problem if you decide to remove it

I have a Kodak C195 and after my son put the pop-up shade on it for me it covered up the description of the 4 function buttons. I will have to remember which button is for what function as I no longer have the pictures next to the buttons. Other than that it seems to be working okay.

This product is easy to install and looks like it is really part of your camera. It really helps with glare and it does away with those awful fingerprints and skin oils when you shoot through the viewfinder. You can always easily remove it if you change your mind. Great price for great protection!

Attaches firmly with supplied two sided tape. The tape is also easily removed. Provides protection to LCD and provides ability to review shots on LCD in all but exremely bright cnditions.
The shade portion just slides on and off leaving the protetive window film and mounting frame attached to the camera.

I bought this shade for the LX5. Looks like it might help, but sadly it attaches by sticking to the LCD. I have an LCD protector already and don't want a double layer.
Worse, the upper edge of the shade's frame overlaps the connector for the electronic viewfinder. Makes it impossible to use both. Looks like the shade is unusable for my purposes.
If you don't use Panasonic's EVF and you either don't have an LCD protector or don't care about a double layer on the LCD, then this ought to work OK.

Excellent addition to camera so I can now see the LCD screen in bright daylight. Easy to use and will snap off for indoor use although I have not even bothered to remove it. For the convenience in seeing LCD, the slight extra bulk is inconsequential.

Permanent on an Olympus SZ-30MR Camera. Very dubious about getting a camera without a view finder, but this more than compensates. There is a plastic screen that fits flat against the camera screen, so that helps protect it. The pop-up shade is very easy to open and shut - folding flat when closed, so there is no need to take it off, which again protects the camera screen. My favourite add-on, very happy with it.

This has become standard on my Pocket Cameras. Protects the LCD surface, takes almost no room, lets me work in bright sunlight without resetting the brightness on the LCD. Easy to 'slide' off and on.
I've installed 2 of these in the last Month - be precise about positioning, the adhesive is quite aggressive so you want it to be correct.
