I've used Rosco gels since 1985 and prefer them over Lee gels. Years ago I compared them (and maybe Lee has improved their polymer base) and found the color to be more consistent and the polymer base to be more durable.
The CTO gel typically sits in front of my strobe when I'm shooting interiors. They are durable and can last years if kept clean and scratch-free.

I would have liked it to be a little heavier gauge. But it you get a good sized sheet and it is inexpensive enough to buy more when your filters get to worn out or rip etc. The color is consistent and the 3/4 CTO is the most versatile level of color for matching most incandescent colored lighting. Even if it isn't an exact match it is fairly painless to tweak the WB in post.

I've found this gel is a close match to balance with most incandescent lighting, or to warm skin tones when using flash outdoors.

I use this for converting my Canon 430 flash to tungsten temp on indoor shots. Works great w/ custom white balance. I recommend double sided velcro for easy on/off.

Great value for the money. The sheet is big enough to cut a lot of filters for my video light.
