The Archival Method Binder Box combines the protection of an archival quality, metal edged box with the utility and convenience of a ring binder. This product is well-suited for acid free photo storage, filing and storing. Can also be used for genealogical records and other collections one might otherwise store in binders. The BinderBox lends itself to "active storage" of collections that are archived but are open to researchers or students.
Those old baseball cards need a safe place to rest. Those old newspaper clippings need to be safely stored away. Those slides from your vacation need to be stored where they can be seen and edited quickly and efficiently. Once again, Archival Methods has the perfect solution!
Note! The BinderBox is available in either .060 tan board or .055 black board

It's a box
Pretty simple ... not much more than a box with binder rings in it.
It's a heavy paper/cardboard material with metal reinforcing in the corners. It seems sturdy enough.

I wouldn't stack things on top of it (except maybe more binder boxes) though. If you need something stronger than this, you probably need some kind of metal/plastic box.
Holds about 100 pages, maybe a little more.
The rings close securely, no gaps where the two halves meet.
Easily fits 6 frame long negative holders.

Comments about Archival Methods 06-102 Binder Box (1.5" O-Ring, Black):
This is a nice binder box for general photo and negative storage. It could work for documents as well if you wanted it to. It's quite nice as far as boxes go, keeps the dust out and protects the contents from light. The only way it is lacking is that the material composing the box isn't quite as thick and rigid as I'd like to see it.

Comments about Archival Methods 06-102 Binder Box (1.5" O-Ring, Black):
I'm an amateur photographer, but I need a good storage solution for prints and negatives. The binder box is well made, stackable, and roomy enough that I can use it with a wide range of page protectors.
Because the box opens flat, it also works well as a presentation binder.
I bought only one at first so I can see if I like it. Now I know I'll be buying more.

This binder box is the ideal resource for storing plastic sleeves of 35mm negatives, slides and prints. It is well constructed, light and dust tight, and easy to stack. It enables effective organization and easy retrieval of photographic materials.

I use a separate binder for negs from different projects. It fits any size, like those large pages that hold strips of 3 6x7 negs etc.
Sorta flimsy but also not hard on the wallet.

The picture is a bit deceiving, it does not come with any photo sleeves. The outside is a thin cardboard, it holds pictures so thats good.

Comments about Archival Methods 06-102 Binder Box (1.5" O-Ring, Black):
This is an excellent box for archiving / storing negatives and contact sheets. The material could be a little sturdier (It feels like stiff cardboard) but I am satisfied with it.
It certainly isn't to be used as a portfolio as it's a big ugly black box!

I give these binders to clients with matted photographs. They are comparatively inexpensive, but look and feel good.
