Gefen EXT-VGA-2-DVISP VGA-to-DVI Scaler PLUS
The EXT-VGA-2-DVISP VGA-to-DVI Scaler PLUS from Gefen is a solution that allows you to convert (1) traditional analog VGA signal to (1) DVI output. The unit will also work with Component video sources, such as DVD players and cable boxes. This is an ideal solution when you need to connect legacy equipment with HD-15 video connections to the new DVI video-display format. DVI output enables an all-digital rendering of video without the losses associated with an analog interface, making it ideal for use with a number of digital displays, including LCD, Plasma, and DLP projectors.
The scaler can be controlled manually or with the included IR remote control. Aspect-ratio control for native and full-view modes is included. This unit offers 48MB frame memory for frame-rate conversion. Input resolution is automatically detected and output resolution and refresh rate can be selected through an on-screen display menu and front-panel push buttons. The output picture features adjustment controls that include brightness, contrast, color, RGB level, and H-V position.

We needed a 1920p computer interactive to show on a 1068 native projector. The computer needed to see a 1920-capable monitor and the picture needed to look perfect. This box did the trick. Scale was excellent with no artifacts. Would buy another for the next time.
