I'm a professional drummer and I use these as IEM's (In Ear Monitors) in a Corporate Event/Wedding band. I bought these as backups to an identical pair that still are going strong after a year and a half. In the band I am sent a full band mix, a click track and backing track mix. These work well to block out the stage volume of my drums and the amps and deliver a good overall sound, plus it's easy to remove an ear piece quickly to communicate on stage. The isolation provided by the three different sized flanges holds them in place comfortably and securely while reducing the post-gig ear ringing that often plagues drummers. I also own two $100-200 single-driver IEMs (the Bass Freqs have more low-end and a fuller sound letting me hear more of my bass drum) and a $900 custom molded pair that can't be quickly inserted and removed (the Bass Freqs can). I now own four pairs of these, to use in other situations and to use as backups on the gig since they're cheap and have more bass than the dozen or so other inexpensive ones I've used. If you're a working musician who uses IEMs, pickup a pair of these as a backup, you might be pleasantly surprised by the sound/ price ratio.

I bought these because they were relatively inexpensive. I use them with an iPod, so I was obviously not expecting audiophile performance from them. I am happy with them. I would purchase them again.

I've purchased three of these so far. One went bad after about 20 months of use, which I suppose isn't so bad considering the price. The audio quality is very good, the base is excellent, and they're very comfortable to wear all day. It's just a matter of finding the right ear bud adapters (Silicone Eartips) to fit your ear canals, several sizes are provided.

I use them with my Blackberry to listen to music, but they aren't designed for a phone and don't have a microphone, nor does the ring sound come through the headphones but the music does cut off to let you know you have an incoming call. So if you're using them with a phone and you answer a call you have to speak into the mic on the phone, which can be a little awkward.

I decided to upgrade to the more expensive V-Moda Vibe II In-Ear Stereo Headset with Microphone (Nero)specifically designed for phone use. Unfortunately that unit doesn't have the range of frequency response that this significantly less expensive unit has. And while the audio quality is still very good, I kind of miss the bumping bass that these headphones produce, and I think these are a little bit easier to deal with being lighter and giving you more to grab onto with the arms that protrude downward over the wires.

It seems the primary flaw in the design that caused the failure, is where the wire connects to the jack. The continued bending of the cable at that point eventually frays the internal wire and causes failure. So if you get them be careful about that when you're removing them for your pocket or wherever you keep it. The more expensive Vibe II seems to have addressed this issue with a heavy-duty connection and covering where the wire meets the jack.

But if you're careful I'd say there's no reason you can't get several years of use out of these headphones which I think are one of the best around when it comes to audio quality.

This is my 3rd pair. Eventually they wear out - something gets frayed inside, but for what they cost and how they sound, I just replace them each time, which isn't too often.

I use these headphones with a Microsoft Zune, which doesn't have an equalizer function, so I'm at the mercy of the headphones as far as sound quality is concerned. These earpieces more than impressed. The bass is deep and full, and the mids and highs are more than adequate, making for a nice complete sound. The silicone ear fittings are extremely comfortable, and make a nice tight seal to help reduce ambient noise. For a little over [$] how can you ask for much more?

I bought these based primarily on reviews,looking to upgrade from my Sony MDR EX31.I was trying to come as close to my home,over the ear Denon's,with that powerful bass and bottom end.Well I eagerly opened the V-Moda's and plugged them in and was in complete shock.The sound was AWFUL.No clarity and the bass that everyone raves about is weak to average at best.I tried all 3 sizes of adaptors,which made for little improvement.I immeadiately ruturned them and spent the extra $20 and bought the Sony MDR EX300,which I had been looking at also,and what a difference.These Sony's are so close to my home Denon's and worth every penny.
Anybody who thinks these V-Moda's have powerful bass doesn't know what they are missing.Take the extra $20 and invest in the Sony's.You won't be sorry.You're music will take on a whole new life.

I only gave them 1 star because they were comfortable.

As many ppl, I bought this item after seeing its gudd reviews on cnet. Many customers who bought this item in [...] often argued that the bass even though is more not balanced....but I wld say it is totally balanced..there is a lot of difference if u dnt use these ear phones with the suitable ear plugs for ur ears and it comes with 3 pairs of ear plugs with Small Medium and Large sizes...Medium size shld fit most of the ppl..As soon my package arrived, I opened it and tested with the linkin park's album and they din perform initially as I expected...then I changed the ear plugs to Medium size and the sound was awesome...its looked everything is balanced...

Great use for mp-3 plaayers. Great price on a pretty goob pair of buds. A little bass heavy but that`s ok by me. Buds are very light and a wee bit flimsy but have held up well.About equal to Sony ex71`s.Also try V-Moda Vibe

I'm a new, but frequent music listener on an HTC Touch Pro phone.

These fit well for me with the medium adaptors (there's a small, medium and large) that were easily changed.

They're very comfortable and light. The longest I've worn them is probably only about 2 hrs, but I had no issues.

Sound was decent to me - but I don't have much from a comparison perspective.

I just got a new Sansa Fuze 8GB MP3 player and it sounds great with these headphones, better than my previous Sony earbuds that cost twice as much.
Love the bass response like being in a concert hall.
Would like it if they came with some kind of pocket case, don't like the piece of plastic they provide to wrap the cord around.

These headphones are probably the best headphones I've ever owned and they are cheap in comparison to the more expensive brands. Yeah they get tangled from time to time, but it's well worth it.

I use the headphones while listening to my Ipod. These small headphones deliver a pure sound with deep bass. Great for any portable music device. Also eliminates most ambient surrounding noise with the noise isolation technology. Great product!

I use headphones with my ipod. They sound good. They are a bit overpriced and do not come with any kind of protective container for that price. The big test will be to see how long they last with lots of use.
