The Stofen OM-24XSET consists of two diffusers specifically designed for the Canon MT-24EX Twin Lite Flash.
The Omni-Bounce creates a diffused bare bulb effect, giving even coverage across the entire frame, with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in the 35mm format (and equal in other formats as well). The Omni-Bounce is easy to use and goes onto and off the flash in seconds with custom fitting (except for UNI model) and no touch fastener. Designed for years of service without the bulk of some other diffusers, it is small enough to fit easily into a gadget bag or pocket.

I have used this diffuser set on an MT-24EX with the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro lens and a Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5X macro lens, both with good results. Compared to using the MT-24EX on its own, these diffusers provide a softer edge to shadows, as you would expect.
I would have preferred even greater softening (even at the expense of light loss), but I understand how it is a tradeoff between the size of the diffusers and the amount of softening. I like that these diffusers are small enough to keep on the flash when the flash is stored in its pouch, which is handy.
I also find that they have a very slight warming effect on the colour of the light from the flash. Normally, I find the "flash" white balance a little too blue for my taste. With these diffusers, that setting creates a natural light that I like, and I don't have to resort to manual white balance. I just leave them on my flash all the time.

Great diffuser with some modification
I own other omnibounce products for my 550 and 580 EX flashes and they work great but this flash is a different flash altogether and requires a different approach to the diffusion of light.
I own other omnibounce products for my 550 and 580 EX flashes and they work great but this flash is a different flash altogether and requires a different approach to the diffusion of light.
It does soften the light so that it is not as harsh but the MT 24 EX flash heads are so small and powerful (relative to the subject size) that the light is still much too harsh for my liking. These sto-fen diffusers are just too small to make that much of a difference in the light quality.
Instead of throwing these away and buying something else (which by the way there is no other option for this flash) I use them as a frame to which I was able to attach a Gary Fong Puffer for pop up flashes. This way I do not void the warranty on the expensive flash because it was not modified and the light is larger and softer than either the flash head alone or with the sto-fen omnibounce.
I cut the front of the omnibounce out and attached the GF puffers to the side of the stofen with some hot glue. This then attaches to the flash head easily and increases the relative size of the flash by about 200% and results in more pleasing and softer wrap around light with fewer hotspots.

Here is what I have to say about it:
I bought an entire package altogether;
Cannon EOS 7D camera
Cannon 100mm Macro 2.8L lens
24EX flash and the diffuser (Stofen)
And I took pictures using recommended dental setting, the detail is amazing; the teeth look just like what they look like in the mouth, which is exactly what we want.

The MT24EX flash is almost unusable without some kind of diffusion. These diffusers help a lot but at higher magnifications when all or most of your light comes from the flash, it is not always enough. You can easily modify the diffuser to diffuse more (e.g. add paper or plastic to it with glue). This is much easier than making your own from scratch since these fit perfectly on the strange shape of the flash. Also, it removes any risk of damaging the flash itself if your DIY attempts go wrong. Consider buying 2 sets of these so you can have 2 levels of diffusion: 1 stock sto-fen and one with your own extra mods or one modified and one heavily modified.

Purpose-built for the MT-24EX. It attaches reasonably securely and is very inexpensive. Better thay modifying something else to use as a diffuser. The design does not obscure the light lamps that allow you to see objects when the light levels are low and you're trying to focus.

Easy to use both in manual and ETTL modes, mujst have for the MP-E 65, but also great with 50mm or 100mm macros. The cords dangle but can be strapped out of the way with some velcro straps. having ratio control and independent head angles can make some nice lighting in macro shots. I have a custom duel flash bracket I have used for a year with 2x 580ex II with mini soft boxes it works but you don't need that much power (and the setup weighs over 4 pounds) for most macro shots so I spent the money on the mt-24ex and am very pleased better results and so much lighter.

Easy on and off. Simple to install. Works well with Canon MT-24EX. A little pricey for two little plastic boxes, but worth it.

It is still early on for me with the MT-24EX flash, but I knew from other reviews that some sort of diffuser would be helpful. In some comparison photos I took, the images are consistently better with these on rather than off, so I think they will stay on.

Use these to diffuse light with Macro work. Works well but, for much improved diffusion use some poly sheet (like the ones that come in electric appliances).

Attaches easily and works as expected. Good quality and will probably last a long time. Mounts easily by clipping directly onto the heads.
The diffuser heads also diffuse to the sides since the cap is not flat only, but protrudes away from the flash-head. It gives a surface 90 degrees around the head that is useful for light to be diffused in all directions. Nice feature that sometimes come in handy.
I am still looking for a diffuser with a larger surface for the light to be diffused off. Small light sources are not good for photography. I don't understand why no-one makes these!

Not the best solution!
GF puffer diffuses light better, simply diffusion area is bigger. I combined this omni bounce with GF puffer, so that diffusing surface belongs to puffer and mounting part for flash head to omni bounce. Works good as long as you don't heat and bend, in later case it just keeps coming off the flash

It is more translucent that the one for the Speedlite 580EX II (no pure white), but this set really makes a big difference that without it.
Something that you need to consider is the distance of the subject that you are photographing. The closer it is, the less light you need. So, I recommend that you take a look at the manual and play around with the [Manual] sittings; the 1/64 comes handy with a very close subject.
Another big plus of this set, is that you can live it attached to each flash. They fit perfect on the flash it self and inside the flash bag.

There is not much softening of the light. I still got hot spots in the eyes and glossy areas of insects. If the diffuser had a larger area, it would work better. There has to be a better solution.

For macro subjects, these diffusers are absolutely necessary in order to prevent very harsh lighting conditions. There's a slight warming effect when using them that's not undesirable (but worth noting regardless).
I wish they were a bit larger (or that someone offered larger flash head diffusers for the MT-24EX) so that this flash could be better-used as fill in portrait shooting. Even with the diffusers, the lighting can be harsh at distances greater than typical macro shooting distances.
I've used the differs on the MT-24EX with the Canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens and the Canon MP-E 65mm f2.8 1x-5x macro lens on a number of bodies.

Since Canon did not use the same finish of the MT14 in the MT24, we are forced to use diffusers to make colors pop.
